Livermore and Meyler much too careless with the ball - hopefully we'll have Dawson back for Bournemouth as well as Elmo

Jake gave the ball away for the first goal, Meyler gave the ball away for the second - unfortunately half the team kept passing to Chelsea today - Clucas was nothing like as bad as some - Chelsea are a good side and Moses, Hazzard and Will I am ran the show and we had no idea how to deal with them - it was just as well we had Davies and Marshall at the back

    Davies
    Mbokani
    Clucas

I thought Mbokani did well today, he just needed more and better service.

How Robertson got MOTM God only knows, he wasn't the worst but he certainly wasn't the best.

I think the lack of variety in the MOM votes so far show how poorly we played.

Is that the Davies that was weak as piss for the first goal and completely bottled the 50/50 with Costa.

Meyler gave the ball to them 30 yards in their half. Hardly a crime. Matic ran right by Clucas and Henricksen half heartedly chased Matic back.

Just watched a full replay courtesy of Chelsea TV. Their commentators called him Robinson for most of the match. How he was named City man of the match is beyond me.

    1. Livermore.
    2. Mbokani.

When we have to play 2 midfielders in defence, one which generally play the ball sideways or backwards against a font line like Chelsea have we were always going to struggle.

With Dawson, Moses and Elmo back playing as we know they can we will be a different team and can be less defensive in our play. until then we will have to scrap for any points we get. plus the fact we are not playing the best teams in league like we have the past few weeks

Give the team and the temorary manager some credit for the points the have got already

Don't think Swanny was even at the game .. Gary Brabin was co commentating with Burnsy..

From the stream I was watching I'd go

    1. Davies .. but for his defensive qualities it could have been worse

    2. Marshall .. no chance with either goal and commanded his area well also made a couple of decent saves to try to keep us within touching distance

    3. Mbokani .. the Norwich supporters were right he really does put a shift in but we need someone alongside him to feed off him

Meyler was bloody awful and that hurts me to say as I have long been a fan of his work rate but dear God the guy is colour blind .. he is unable to play the simplistic of balls. Mason and Henriksen were anonymous .. and Robbo I'm afraid is learning a very harsh lesson about defending .. he has been taken to the cleaners a few times already this season .. having said that he simply has no assistance on that side of the pitch .. for all Diomandes effort he simply isn't a left side midfielder .. I'd be inclined to give Maloney or Weir a run out there to help him out ..

That said for the first half we competed well and could have been in front .. just the second half was abysmal by anyone's standards

Because these two always give 100%
Mbokani because he put a shift in, good start.
