A Chelsea supporter I was talking to after the match said there was nothing to choose between the teams in the first half. If we'd have had somebody who could score we'd have been in front.

In the second half we were the architects of our own defeat because we couldn't pass the ball accurately. Phelan is trying to turn us into a passing team like Bournemouth, we have a long way to go.

We missed Huddlestone in midfield in my opinion. He fills a huge hole that Chelsea exploited time after time.

Less than 21,300 to watch one of the glamour games of the season. The Allams are reaping what they've sown.

Properly set up and motivated team.

Players passing to our own players.

    Throw ins to our players.

    Not playing 9-1.

Passion and desire rather than rolling over. Again.

A proper manager who knows how to manage.

By the time those 8 games have passed our chances for the season might and I think probably will have taken an enormous dent.

Didn't everybody expect us to get relegated before the start of the season ?

And then the value of Hull City will have gone down so the contracts with the three potential buyers will be torn up and negotiations on price started all over again. Is it ever going to end?

Tough ****, he earned his chance to be manager when he was the only one that stepped up and no one else would touch us.

I don't care if we go down with Mike in charge, he stepped in and prevented an absolute disaster, he deserves to see the season out.

Good effort first half .. second half their midfield took us the cleaners .. I rather think if Mr. Dawson is fit after the break he'll be straight in .. Jake to midfield to play alongside Clucas .. we desperately need someone to fill the void on left side of midfield .. Keane has been tried.. Dio has been tried .. but neither àre comfortable there which leaves young robbo struggling to cope .. I have to say I want to see Mbokani and Hernandez given a run now against teams we can compete against.

He's a professional footballer who should be able to pass the ball whichever position he's in on the pitch. Fair enough he may be playing out of position for which I can forgive his tactical errors but simply not to be able to pass and find a team-mate is nothing to do with positional sense. To be fair he wasn't the only one today, we were generally poor in possession.

    Yep, fair summary from the game. We worked our socks off first half to stay in the game, 2nd half didn't seem to turn up, almost got caught straight from kick off. Anyway, positives;

We kept 11 on the pitch.
    Only conceded 2 goals.
    Mbok looked the part.

Puzzled as to how Robertson got MOM?

Obviously not, I'm just saying, last season! Plus I never saw the bit where he explained in great detail how to pronounce his name!

That could be said of most of our players today, including the £12 million man, who looks like Levy has ripped us off again. Although he's probably better Ina different position than what we signed him for.
Maybe that's our current problem, we're playing players where they are supposed to be good at, but obviously they really should be in a different position, Marshall the closing down player, Elmo goalie, Jake defender, Abel H is a great LB & Robbo should be up front!

Think we were equal with Chelsea first half and little indication of the turnaround in their performance after the break. However, it was clear early in the second half that they had upped their game and we needed someone to put a foot on the ball and control it, instead of aimless passing which just invited more pressure.

To me, it looked like we needed Huddleston on a lot earlier as the midfield lost control. Not sure who I would have taken off, probably Henrickson as he became anonymous after half time. Mason needs someone like Tom next to him to prosper, as he looked poor until Tom came on, certainly not justifying our record price tag.

Agree that next few games are the critical ones, but don't think we should be too despondent after playing against players in the last few games who are all class and cost a fortune. Still think it's gr.eat to see such players against "little old Hull" and we should not expect miraculous displays against them.

Will be at Bournemouth to cheer the lads on.

He deserves to see the whole season out on the back of two freak results?

A pair of results which, being honest, we were very fortunate not to end up with score lines like the previous two. And we've the opposition to thank for that.

Those two results are papering over very large cracks and throwing results aside, on the pitch we look a completely uncohesive, disorganised mess.

Do you not think we looked organised against Man U or cohesive when we dominated Burnley?

I can't decide if you're arguing for the sake of it or just know nothing about football.

A couple of poor results and people lose their heads.
