Huddlestone for Clucas - I can't see that as an improvement

Yes, lets all blame Meyler. Were we getting overrun like this in midfield when he was playing there. No we weren't. How was our record wen he was in midfield ahead of Huddlestone last season. Much better.

It would be harsh to blame just Meyler today but he has had a very poor game, amongst many others.

We should have started 352, midfield look light, Mason, Henricksen nothing better than when they weren't here!
    Unbelievably piss poor!
I'm not going to judge on this or the last 2 games, the next 3 will be judgeable though!

How anyone can blame Meyler when he's been played at RB is beyond me!

Shocking performance...even worse than Liverpool. Mid-field might as well not have been there. Only Davies and Mbokani looked as if they cared. If Dawson is back for Bournemouth Jake needs to move back into midfield alongside Clucas. Not impressed with Mason at all. Team spirit seems to have plummeted and Phelan's job might be on the line unless we start picking up points again. We were lucky to only lose 2-0.

The huge space - enough to park the titanic in - which we consistently leave between midfield and defence is absolutely unbelievable. Players not sure where they're supposed to be or what they're supposed to be doing, lots of individual errors. We are a total mess.

Meyler was no worse than the rest, better than some in fact. Apart from a cracking defensive header in the first half Henriksen was anonymous, Mason also until Clucas went off, he seemed to engage a bit more then. Robbo is not a very good left back! Dio should have doing for him what Snoddy was doing for Meyler most of the game, ie tracking back and helping out.

    All in all pretty crap.

According to Burns & Brabin we were better first half forcing Courtois into 2 top saves. Second half Chelsea upped a gear and we dropped one. The new signings were invisible apart from Mbokani who worked his socks off

It's Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelski! Yes disappointing we haven't competed today, but as I said earlier, the next 3 games are judgeable! These were bonuses!
I agree with Mason, add Henricksen in there too!
I don't think the spirits gone, I think we've just been shown up as piss poor against the "big boys" again! For whatever reason?

Certainly the worst performance so far - good start but then City surrendered the ball too easily with sloppy and lazy distribution across the whole pitch. A chance for them to recharge their batteries for the coming run of games now.
