Intisaab 20/1 e/w (Betway) Heritage Handicap Ascot 3.40 Vastly improved sprinter this term for David O'Meara winning twice and placing 2nd 5 times. Came 11th lto but beaten just 3.55L after being run into the arses of horses with nowhere to go, his chance had gone. Raised another 3 lb to 99 for this he will need to take a further step forward but that run in Ayr suggested he hasn't stopped yet and with Shelly Birkett back on board instead of Danny Tudhope it gives us a good 3 lb claim. Shelly also has rode the horse on his two victories this season and knows the animal well. I see our man with his hand in every yard Chelsea has put up forum fave Librisia Breeze once more and that horse will definitely be on the premises, an extremely trappy heat but I'm happy with Intisaab at that price. Happy punting for Saturday as always looks some nice opportunities among the various cards.
I think that we all know that Libriza Breeze is the one to be on in the 3:40 at Ascot... Need to start digging at the rest of the Saturday cards... I have to say that tomorrow’s card at Chantilly looks very unappetising with the British bookies and I can see myself not bothering the bookies. I would not touch Limato at odds-on and I think that So Mi Dar will win but she is no bet given the unknown of how the race will be run and the odds. The Abbaye should yet again be up for export as the first six in the betting are not French – but which one? Good luck to anyone that is making the trip to France as they may be crowded out by the Japanese, who may have their best chance ever with Makahiki, even with the supposedly bad draw. Have to pass along at this point that bottom weight Dyna Might in the Wolverhampton 7:10 may be over-priced. My guv’nor is in the syndicate that owns her and they think she has a fair chance.
Morning all, you might think I'm a bit mad but I'm putting up Arabian queen. She's been a bit poor this year but I think the drop back in trip might work today Cheers.
The grade 2 chase at Gowran gives us an early sign of things to come this season in the Irish NH scene with 1 Mullins/Ricci horse taking on multiple Giggi entrants. I reckon Willie will take this one with Ballycasey. The market is certainly showing some support for Willie's horse. Good luck anyone having a punt today.

Gazboy, they are all too busy analysing the form of the Fontwell 4:40 to come on here! As a form backer, I am going with two horses seeking hat-tricks today: I think that Arab Spring has been a talking horse, I was unimpressed by his win on the Kempton polytrack last time and I do not back that sort of form on turf, so I prefer his stablemate KINGS FETE in the Ascot 2:30 to enhance on his Group 3 successes, with the main threat being the three year old Move Up. Over at HQ there is a tough fillies’ handicap at 2:50 but I think Ralph Beckett’s CROWNING GLORY is still improving and she does not look to have been caught yet by the handicapper. Most to fear from likely pacesetter Lincoln Rocks and Johnston’s Haley Bop.

Agree there, QMII, which might in itself put a mocker on things . Jockey C-P Lemaire will have to be at his best; has been known to ride the occasional absolute stinker, even in the Arc. Here's a few comments from him on Makahiki: http://www.attheraces.com/news/today-on-atr/christophe-lemaire-on-makahiki
Still have all my souvenirs from 2006 when Deep Impact ran in the 'Arc'. I recall the many Japanese visitors ensured that all the other runners started at very strange 'win' odds on the Pari Mutuel so, apart from my 'scattergun' ante post wagers, I won plenty on Rail Link on the P-M. Great day with a great atmosphere. Even got interviewed by a couple of extremely attractive young Japanese ladies who, I assume, worked for TV stations.
Great start from Frankie in the opener at Ascot. I couldn't resist a lucky 15 in his 4 rides there today!
Grotesque very disappointing but Gigginstown might have a very nice one there in Blood Crazed Tiger - absolutely hacked up.
Some decent h/caps that I punted this morning @ bfsp. GP 3.10 Kilkishen (2 win) Misty Lady (8 win,10 place) NM 3.25 Sightline (4 win, 6 place) Asc 3.40 Afjaan (2 win) Remarkable (8 win, 10 place) NM 5.10 Colonial Classic (4 win, 6 place)
17:15 Fontwell - Reddington (This newcomer will do for me for my Saturday bet at the 7/1 generally available. Just thinking, if I just stuck with my Saturday punt and not have a bet during the week, I'd back a lot less losers? Nevermind, it's all fun. On breeding, and through his German sire and grandsire, should certainly appreciate the soft ground. Note: My Boy James has the same sire too, Getaway). Good luck today all!
