Jake doing the presser with Mick this morning. please log in to view this image “Our confidence hasn’t been affected by the last two results whatsoever. We’ve got a great group here.” “We’re a close-knit group. Mike Phelan and his staff have been fantastic too - we’re all behind him.” “Despite our last two results, there have still been positives for us to take from recent weeks and we have to build on those.” “We’ve analysed our next opponents very closely. They’ve had an indifferent start, hopefully we can catch them on an off day.” Phelan up now... “We’re serious about what we want to do. It’s Chelsea up next - we want to perform and make sure we give them a good game.” “It’s important to pick up points every game. It was difficult against Arsenal and Liverpool because our circumstances changed.” “We want to be competitive on Saturday. Hopefully we can keep 11 players on the pitch and make that happen.” On his future: 'we are still talking and will continue to talk until resolved.' On delays 'it is no more frustrating than losing by 5 goals last week.'
Says he hasn't reached an agreement on his future because "things keep changing". Remains confident his future will be resolved. Says managers must be 'on their guard' at all times after recent corruption allegations. Says he has faith that authorities will take action if any claims are found to be proven. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...9765746-detail/story.html#HDItYA3gfZ1liDLq.99
Jake looks much happier with himself nowadays after his traumatic experience and think he should come straight back in at centre of defence, although he has played right back for us before. Think Meyler will get RB slot, which he has also played at for Ireland.
The longer this debacle goes on the more their is a risk that someone else may come in for Phelan .. unless of course we go on a disastrous run against teams in our own mini league .. the steam seems to have dissipated with regards the potential take overs which means the Allam's are basically trying to do things on the cheap again .. this pair never seem to learn from their previous mistakes .. for the love of God someone buy these clowns out and let us stabilise
...but surely we can beat HAL? http://www.theshedend.com/topic/29833-hull-vs-chelsea-pl-sat-0110-2016-ko-1500-gmt/ I realise this has no relevance to team news but some anal moderator has moved it.
Everyone time I hear Phelan speak he comes across as a very level headed guy who speaks a lot of sense .. yet again a good interview
Chelsea FC @ChelseaFC Conte rules John Terry out of tomorrow's game. Mikel is also out with a small muscular problem.
It's Chelsea's team news thread and was better suited to be on here than have its own thread. You're welcome.
The pessimistic views of their fans about tomorrow with a few saddoes naming their team towards the end of it...it was about Conte and how the vultures and poodles are circling, unlike LFC and AFC who were very bullish. How is that team news????
If and when we get a match day thread it could go in there, just needs someone to pull their finger out.
