My first game at Fulham was the FA Cup match in 1979, I was twelve years old. We lost 2-0 and I can still recall sitting on the wall behind the goal and being thoroughly bored by it all, so nothing has changed when we've played them since then. It was a night game and I can remember having to run home all the way to our flat behind the school end in South Africa Road as Fulham Palace Road was too solid with traffic to take the bus. I still can't believe my mum let me go, I usually had to be in bed by 9pm.
Your memory's playing tricks on you. We won that 2-0 as confirmed by the stats above. It was a wonderful season but for that injury to Martyn Busby
We won't have six shots but the way they are playing at the moment it's the best chance we'll have to get a result there for a long time.
Apart from Wembley ,when was our last big away support rewarded? Not Fulham, not Brentford, not Arsenal, not West Ham, not CFC, not Charlton, not Millwall, not THFC. I genuinely can't think when we last took more than 2000 fans anywhere and we had a great day out? Do we have to go back as far as CFC away on Jan 2nd, SWP etc?
So we sold all 2700 initial allocation and another 1150 released. Be great if we had nearly 4000 there to cheer the lads on!
With Bidwell out does anyone know what's going on with Jack Robinson? He never gets mentioned when the club announce the team news and the reasons for players absence.
Typical Rangers to get a player in whose permanently injured. I don't think he's played for us yet in a competitive match.
That was in one of the Dutch pre season friendlies. Other than that not heard a dickie bird about him, not even a sub appearance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Robinson_(footballer,_born_1993)
I think I'll let this be the matchday thread for tomorrow. Not much point in me starting up another one with the same title.
