    Mweh...continue this form all season we hit second spot points wise...which would be more than great and equal the best team performance over a season in PL era...

    Long long way to go...and would mean very short dips in form..one big one and done ...

    Love the football..

    You've got to have both Suarez and Torres up top with Gerrard behind them. No team could mark the both of them and Gerrard could find who was free. I need a cold shower after thinking about that <cracker>

    Interestingly, I find I'm one of the least pessimistic posters on here after a loss (or string of bad results).

    When we're winning I'm the token grump who doesn't predict silverware...<laugh>

    Finnan wasn't even at club in 2009. So.. 2009 was best team so why would I put finnan into a team he was not Part of?

    I quoted 2009 as mine and said 2013 was nowhere near as good as relied on gerrard last gasp and SAS...

    If we had the owners we had now in 08 I think we wouldn't have had dramatic drop and would have come a lot closer to winning league on more occasions. That team had quality players in every area in its prime and just needed owners to let Rafa add final touches.

    best spine had since I've supported club. Just needed extra depth. If you add mane / Cout to that team I think it's title winning no doubt.

    Its a worry that our best lb in last 10 years or so is a right back! I'd swap them round in your team, finnan never really played LB but arbeloa did.
