Hello guys , sorry if this sounds really stupid but i'm just curious how do you get a customer number in order to buy tickets? I'm 16 so i've always had my tickets bought for me when i've been down to St Marys by mates with Junior memberships but never had one myself. I need to either buy on the Phone or online for games so do i need a customer number for this and if so where do you get one from? Sorry for being really stupid here as it seems no one else has this problem i'm just a little lost and in need of guidance in what best way to buy tickets! Thanks in advance , your help will be appreciated,
I've always assumed my Season Ticket number was my Customer Number, so no Season Ticket, no Customer Number. May be wrong though..
My ex-season ticket number is still my number, but I believe you get a customer number when you buy a ticket. Too late for Leeds game as it says on OS you have to be registered already. I would phone up the ticket office as early as you can when tickets for the match you want come on sale (first 6 are on sale now). I'm sure they'd be delighted to help you. A number is very important if you try and get tickets for popular games and probably essential for games like Pompey. Just select a game and go for it.
Thanks mate that's a great help Yeah i know i'm well to late for Leeds but i'm already watching that with family so i'm sorted for that I'll give them a call on Monday morning and go from there , thanks again!
You can have a customer number without a season ticket...just ring the ticket office and if you have bought a ticket before you Will have a number. If you haven't, you should get one when you buy your first tickets...
Yeah, buying tickets over the phone (and thus using a debit/credit card to purchase them) puts you onto the computer system, and thus generates a customer number. But you will probably have to request this, as they don't always just give it out to you (and I'm not sure if it appears on your receipt). Different story if you buy tickets in person, with cash though. As it's a simple cash transaction, there's no need for them to take any of your details etc, and thus you're not input into the system. I've got a mate who for years only ever bought tickets in person, with cash. He went to get a ticket for the Pompey cup game 18 months ago, I was told no because they had no record of him! He subsequently made sure he got himself on the system, got himself a customer number, and last season got a ticket for the United cup game without any problems.
Also, once you have your number, I'd advise signing up to your online account asap. I (and many others I know) had all sorts of problem trying to sign up initially, so had to go back and contact the ticket department and get them to set my account up for me. Last thing you want to do is wait until a really big game to sign up, only to have the same sort of problems and then find the club are too busy selling tickets for the big game to help you out.
Another peice of advice - once you have you customer number and you want tickets - avoid using the website to select seats and make purchases - its a very poor system the club has - its hard to get seats in the places you want and yet if you phone-in; they have all sorts of seating options. I never use the website anymore - good olde 'dog and bone' works every time.
