They huffed and they puffed and they blew our house down
But then, that´s not that hard to do,
Two or three minutes we had to see out
    When leading, away, three-two

Liverpool, last year, at home, springs to mind
    When looking for comparisons, perhaps,
But this ran it close, and in fact did seem worse
Just seconds to play, yet collapse

They´ll get a shot ín the arm from last night
While we´ve had a kick in the teeth,
On the surface it´s only three points on the day
But what damage has been done underneath

Last year´s defeat at Toon stopped us in our tracks
We were never quite the same again,
Hopefully we´re made of sterner stuff now
And the boys have grown into men

Saturday´s televised game now looms large
And that´s one good thing in this league,
There´s no time to sit and mope over defeat
    It´s off again, despite fatigue.

But have to admit, there´s likely to be a bit of a hangover, and I´m sure the wolves will be licking their fangs in anticipation.

Right 'on the money' as always RBF and yes I can imagine that our lupine opponents must be eagerly awaiting our arrival and I predict a quite open and attacking game, especially in the first 30 minutes and I can almost guarantee that the scoreline won't be 0-0. We REALLY do need to be coming away from their lair with all 3 points and I'm just hoping that AN will pick a team with the intent of winning, rather than not losing, as we are far too frail defensively as our exploits of last night showed, when we successfully turned victory into defeat in the space of just 60 seconds or so. I fully expect Wes to be in the starting 11 and if Klose is still suffering from his knock in training, then I'd love to see Godfrey given a chance to show what he can do, as he can't possibly be as bad as Bassong

Evening Braveheart, only just seen the high(?)lights, and Newcastle´s second and third goals were totally inexcusable, and I´m afraid it was dear old Bassong who was a bit off the pace. But then again, with a bit more precision and luck, Newcastle could have been 4 up before we were awarded the penalty, so no real arguments with the final outcome - only with the way it happened!

My thoughts exactly, as they pretty much laid siege to our goal in the first 30 minutes or so and they could so easily have been out of sight by half time, yet we managed to make a game of it after the break. some serious questions for both AN and his players before 5.30 on Saturday.
