Indeed. I don't go pubbing much these days, but when I did there was a taxi driver who came in every night. He'd knock off and get to the pub a few minutes before closing, line up 4 pints of some lagery ****e and down them all before chucking out time. I didn't go every night (obviously) but I have it on good authority he did. Can't see the point meself.
Three She went through a whole bottle and then some. Two of the lads had been to Spain and brought a bottle each back for her. But she doesn't like black sambuca #notaracistthing
so ti was 5 beers, a couple bottles (not sure if a couple really is two here) and then 3 samucca's which were probably laced with alcohol more than anything else. so no not a HUGE amount... for someone who is sued to it i suppose... .
In all seriousness though, I have various family/friends/family of friends etc who have diced with alcoholism. My former uncle (divorced) drinks every night but has managed to never become an alcoholic and has maintained a family life (remarried) and business (after losing his first). A friends brother did pretty much the same but lost his family and business (builder) as he spiraled into becoming dependent. Then there's my girlfriend's uncle who became an alcoholic from mental health/emotional issues. Just got sacked from his last job after a relapse at work as a chef...he seems beyond help to be honest. Whether you're an alcohol or not it can still ruin your life. Just hope you don't overdo it RHC and stay happy
If that was going to happen, it would have done by now The other development at the Cheese last night is that the cost of a pint is going up 25 p shortly That'll make Carling, Guinness and Strongbow £2.75 She has been threatening to do it for about 5 years though
Carling and Guinness same price? Have to pay more for Guinness as a premium beer over here. Cheapo lagers like Coors (what Carling is called here) are normally half the price of a Guinness.
