Kilkenny could run a game but rarely did.

'What do you make of this re killkenny'

Just listened to his interview on Radio Bristol.

He sounded downhearted and my take is he's not over happy with his move here.
From what he said he thinks he wont start against Ipswich.
Played 50 games a season for Leeds but not sure he'll be given a chance by the manager. He kept repeating during the interview 'if I get given the chance'.
When asked 'do you think promotion is a possibility - 'well the manager thinks so'.
When asked about the manager's frustration in bringing in players, he replied almost exactly the same
    'well the manager says so'.
Think the interview doesn't auger well for his time at City.

The only team I care about is Bristol City and I hope Kilkenny plays and has a great game for us tomorrow and helps us achieve a win...

Leeds Utd to me are irrelevant and don't matter one dot but I'm biased...

Johnson and kilkenny weren't good enough simple as.we have Brown,Clayton and Nunez who look to also be better players to replace them. That's what the club and fans expect, only time will tell if right. But no dispute Kilkenny while a good player not quite good enough, can't tackle.

I expect Leeds to be around at promotion time, and no disrespect intended don't see Bristol being there, but who knows.Remember Blackpool 2 seasons back.

    Good luck to him <ok>

when hes bang on it hes a real assest. Often a passenger in the game, almost a luxury player if you will. Expect him to pick up Maynard with a few tasty balls when hes not passing sideways.

To me he does not sound comfortable being interveiwed, I think he could be a good signing and will hopefully partner elliot who is a very busy player, as for his lack of pace JCR and Adomah will get about.

As for leeds UTD there was a bit of trash talking going on a few weeks ago on talksport, I dont think you will do as well as last season, even after adding quality.
I think some of the other clubs have added better quality, you will do well to make the top 10 im going for 12th for leeds and us about 14th of course signing may still be made.

Kilkenny is very, very average. Over his entire 3 years at Leeds, even in League One against the ****test teams, he was average, never stood out as a star performer.

He often plays the easiest pass available, is slow, small and can't tackle, he has a poor goal scoring record. I'm so glad I don't have to see him struggle to catch a 35 year old running past him again.

I can think of a few games where he commanded the ball and played some great passes. He has the technical ability to influence games, and with a pacy striker going onto through balls he could do well. But he can't defend at all, so playing him in a 4-4-2 would be suicide.

Well why did he play all those games for Leeds if he was poor/rubbish.

    seems very strange??

He was a passenger in a good team. In League One, we could afford a passenger, but we were caught out last season. He was in a team alongside Doyle doing the dirty work, Johnson hit a few goals, Snodgrass was amazing, our defence was good and there was Beckford and Becchio upfront.

Please tell me he's better than this.

Or has Millen signed Lee Johnson - for another 3 years <yikes>

Interestingly I did see a stat that in the games kilkenny played last season leeds got results, They actually struggled more when he was not in the team! though id not read to much into it, As im sure i seen a stat like that for Lee johnson!

A 34 year old reject from Portsmouth is hardly a decent investment, His legs are shot, nowhere near the player he once was, plus hes a deffensive midfielder, not in the Kilkenny mould atall so how can you compare? havent you just signed O'Dea aswell? he was shocking for Ipswich last season! i have Leeds down as relegation fodder.

Yet Johnson has gone to a much bigger and better club who play in the prem? Hmmm, interesting!

kilkenny - signed for us, a established championship club, going into our 5th season, your going into your 2nd season and will probably suffer from second season syndrome.

You do realise Johnson's gone to Norwich? Higher division, inferior club.
We like second season syndrome. Second season back in the top flight we became Champions of England for the 3rd time in 1992,something your tin-pot club can only dream about.
You're not even the biggest club in Brizzle,no wonder Kilkenny sounds pissed off!
    Roll on second season syndrome
