Also Tiote is twice the player of Ramires, and for 1/5th the price

The few words being "**** off, you're not wanted".

Why on earth are we loaning Villa's midfield? We beat them 6-0, then they loan us their **** so we can give them match practice. He's being kept out of their side by Petrov and Reo-Coker, how is he going to get a sniff at ours when we have Barton, Nolan and Tiote? Look at his car collection FFS:

    ^ AG..

You really do have something personal with Ireland don't you?

He's injured by the way, otherwise he would've been on the bench.. oh and he's not fancied by Houllier!

I say give him a chance, he's technically better than all of our midfielders except Barton.

Isnt Ireland injured though? yet he's at Newcastle for a medical? Despite Villa saying yesterday that he's not going anywhere this window? Villa who will want every avaliable body to stave off relegation?

the more i think of it, the more it seems that sky are full of ****

Yes I do, because I've seen too many ****bags like him leaching the club dry over the years. Players like Ireland are the reason we went down in the first place, he's like Martins, a lazy little bastard who's more concerned with spending his money than earning it.

I heard about this on the BBC website mate, so there's probably some substance to it unfortunately.

I'm with AG on the anti-Ireland slant. One of the good things about our current set of players is they seem really down to earth, Ireland is the exact opposite of that*. Might not fit in with the team.

*seems like an ostentatious ****** to me

I will give the guy a chance. Ben Arfa came to us with a similar attitude and he has been a legend since his arrival. Could have kicked up a stink regarding his injury and gone back to France and stayed there but the fans won him over and his attitude is top notch. The other players have played a big part too. Who is to say Ireland won't be the same and turn out the top class player he and we know he can be! <badger>

Ben Arfa has obvious class though and is a proven international whereas Ireland is in dire form this season, being kept out by Petrov and Reo Coker? Ben Arfa took a pay cut and Ireland will not. Ireland will not even get into our first XI and couldnt give a **** about the club. Big differences.

Imagine if Ireland can rediscover his form though, he was one of the best midfielders in the league.

    Form is temporary...class is permanent!

Where's the evidence of this? Marseille told him at the end of last season to find a new club, he arranged a move to Newcastle, we agreed a deal with Marseille and then they pulled the plug. That's why he kicked off, and he had every reason to as far as I'm concerned. In Ben Arfa's own words they "treated him like a piece of **** or a sack of dirty washing".

    AbsolutelyGlorious

Surely Ireland deserves a chance, look at how many chances Barton has had, and he is finally looking class, we have the right players in our squad (Harper,Barton, Nolan etc.) to help guide Ireland and help him fulfil his undoubted potential! I am personally excited about the prospect of Ireland joining Newcastle!

We can only have so many players who have problems, soon enough one will ruin the team spirit. Carroll, Ranger, Barton, Ben Arfa already apparently have or had attitude/off field issues and adding an overpaid, overhyped substitute with a **** attitude like Ireland wont help.

Again, Barton is different. His problems were off the field, he's never given less than 100% on it. There were also no question marks over Barton's quality, whereas Ireland has blown hot and cold. Barton was also available at a cut price because of his off-field problems, whereas Ireland is demanding huge wages. Also, on the off chance that Ireland is a success Villa will have him back. The two clubs will likely be on a similar footing next season, I'd rather not be doing them favours.
