Dragging the club down has been our motto for years. Everyone in football is bent and this i hope will wake a few people up at last
Just imagine the response on here if we had been 8 points clear at the top of the League. Somehow he would have been innocent, and not a greedy bastard. I don't know what goes into football managers contracts, but if I did any work, no matter how legal, without clearing it with my employer first, I could be in big trouble. Especially if it involved pissing off to Singapore for a few days. Even more so to do something potentially damaging to my real employer. And then trying to dodge the tax on it. In any sensible universe we would have a contract with him that could be terminated instantly, no compensation. What's the money on us not having that, and for Les to try to hang on to him? Do the decent thing Jimmy, sod off.
Why? I am very confident people would be leaping to his defence if he was a winning manager. just because you disagree doesn't make it stupid.
I know. It was a stupid comment and when you think about it, you will agree that it's stupid. If we were top, undefeated I would still say sack him.
You might, I am certain many others would try to defend him. Difference of opinion, let's leave it there.
LOL no I cannot accept a £55k fee for agreeing to sign a player that would be totally wrong. Can I make a 'speech' in Singapore - maybe what's the fee?
The club need to act quickly on this one way or the other. There's lots of fans saying that they will boycott the club if we retain him. I think the issues of the type of anti-football on the pitch is a more concerning issue. Maybe the fanbase will have a double edged exodus and we'll end up with a following rivalling Burton Albion's. When's that new stadium going to be ready again?
Looks very bad. But unlike the assistant manager at Barnsley JFH doesn't seem to have actually done anything. The paper seem to be publishing before their sting had got further than talk.
I agree with Stan Many will of already hung our manager and he doesn't appear to have done anything wrong
That was my initial impression Ossie, it seems he is only guilty of greed to me. I haven't worked out the offering of players to the club bit yet though. We'll probably need to see a full transcript of the events and the context that they were taken in. There is an element of me thinking he is just pandering to them on the back of a nice offer to make him happy.
