That is not good reading.....his position at the club, whatever your viewpoint before today, is now untenable and he's gonna have to walk - we do attract some basket cases to our glorious little corner of West London, don't we!!
Looks real....they seem to have footage of him asking for 55k to talk...and saying he would be part of the company that sold players to QPR so obvious defrauding the club. All I can say it does not appear to involve the club....just shown us that we cannot get a honest and decent manager.....if they exist
CLUB STATEMENT - THE TELEGRAPH please log in to view this image PUBLISHED 22:00 28th September 2016 by @QPRFC Club issues statement relating to allegations in The Telegraph CLUB STATEMENT THE club is aware of the allegations made against QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in The Telegraph. First and foremost, the club takes very seriously any alleged breach of the rules. With this in mind, the club can confirm that there will be a thorough internal investigation regarding this matter. However, we have every confidence in our manager and the robust systems and processes the club has in place. In addition to the above, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has issued the following statement: 'I have today, through my lawyers, responded in full to the accusations levelled against me by The Telegraph. I was approached by Mr McGarvey and Ms Newell of The Telegraph purporting to be players' agents. They offered me a fee to make a speech in Singapore. I do not see anything unusual in being offered to be paid to make a speech. I did not make any promises in return. I did not ask QPR to purchase any of the players who were said to be managed by Mr McGarvey and Ms Newell and did not and would not recommend the purchase of a player for my personal gain. I deny any accusations of wrongdoing on my part.' The club will be making no further comment at this time. Just watched it on Sky News, our Jimmy's face plastered all over the screen. Nice of them to say 'the highest profile manager was JFH from QPR a big big club'. Why is it always us?
Un-fecking-believable. .... Have to trust the club to be thorough in their enquiry. ....but we as a club really do not need this sort of publicity. ..
The good news is that Sky have finally acknowledged that we are a big big club, which has to be a positive. Presumably the Telegraph didn't succeed in netting every manager they approached, or at least I hope they didn't, so in the interests of balance and fairness they really should release the footage of those (if any!) who told their crew to take a hike
I am shocked. But the evidence looks clear cut and damming. It seems highly likely that we will have a new manager relatively soon.
Who said supporting QPR was boring?? We are a living soap opera - maybe we should sell the rights to Netflix.....
Get real people this is drama and excellent for the club if we spin it right ... remember when we were moneybags and they all hated us... time to be humble and act correctly. we are a poor little club again... full circle and maybe we will get a proper fanbase back UK Football will eat itself and as football goes its over rated IMO England national Team were already laughable ... This is great i am loving it and a few people should wise up after this It needs bringing to its knees before it gets better They are all at it and expect more of this **** to come around other stuff also as the press takes its full power ... Anyone who buys a newspaper today in the UK must be daft IMO. I read the Standard only on my commute and that depresses the life out of me
Don't get your hopes up...he is denying it completely... This could get nasty and worse prolonged and drawn out... He is not going to fall on his sword like Sam did.. I also felt the reason Sam went was due to the comments he made about the royal princes and Hodgson...not because of the sting...
He's saying he was offered 55k for a speech in Singapore & on the other hand if was transfer Bung, we've gone through enough of late & this won't help, more corruption & club won't stand for that.
From that club statement it sounds like they are backing him. How can they say that they're having a thorough internal investigation and then that they have every confidence in him?
A roller coaster that generally dips and dives. The negative PR will be massive. Who knows what effect this will have on the team for Saturday and Fulham.
I to found that statement stupid Nines. As if you can have confidence in him before you know all the facts?
Really don't get your hopes up ...that he's going. Remember how the Anton Ferdinand drama dragged down the whole club. Can see this dragging us down again....long protracted arguments about stings, and he never said he would do anything ......just horrible. I am going to bed...I might wake up and find I am an Aylesbury United fan instead... Come on you Ducks
