Can't see the FA going for Pardew personally. He is utter ****, and I think the FA will be under enormous pressure to appoint somebody who they know can do a good job. I think Wenger will be their No1 target, or another foreign coach with experience at the top level. Now is not the time to be taking a punt on another average English manager.
He is utter **** and that's exactly why I think they MIGHT go for him. He's no worse than McClaren or Fat Sam. Don't expect the FA to make smart decisions. They are ****ing idiots.
It would be a disaster for Howe to manage England at this time of his career, it will destroy whatever promise he has. Wenger is the only one capable of handling the rigours and the pressure of the England job. Howe for Arsenal? He wouldn't get a better place to show what he's made of without the obsurd pressure.
I'm undecided. I think it would be a great signing for England, but it all depends on who we bring in to replace Wenger.
Fat Sam is the only manager in history of football with a 100% winning record throughout his entire England career.
This is ultimately the biggest issue for us, bringing in the right person. I believe that it's the right time for change and both us and England would greatly benefit from it. I think that we have a fine squad now but with fine tuning from the right person could make us even better. It doesn't make Wenger a bad manager for us but sometimes a person gets sucked into all the unnecessary sides of club football when they stay too long. If we had a time machine and was able to get a young Wenger, I believe it would be different. His relentless pursuit of making us financially more viable took a certain edge from him.
