I've also now also been told that a fee has been agreed for Ayala and there's just personal terms to sort.
Wahey!! My taxi driver was right!! Seriously though it's beer o'clock, couldn't resist one last post to give my drive a bit of credit
Chester in midfield is a waste. Did you watch the Liverpool game? He has the potential to be a very good defender.
I hope he doesn't drop Chester, even when Hobbs if playing well I still think Chester is the better CB. More of a footballing brain.
Agree, surely you would choose Evans to play mid over Chester. I think Chester even once said on a radio interview he wasn't a fan of playing midfield.
Ditch Cairney if anyone, Blackpool were killing our midfield because Cairney doesn't do anything defensively.
In my opinion I'd start Ayala as back-up and just let Hobbs and Chester know that if they don't perform then there's a guy behind them in the pecking order at the moment who will.
3 accross the back...Hobbs-Chester-Ayala Push Liam and Joe forward to wing back positions Cairney, Evans & Brady in midfield (Brady with a licence to roam) Simpson & Fryatt up top. Solid but good on the counter attack. Anyone know what's happened on the Pusic front? I thought with Barmby coming on last night 'Why have we not signed Pusic'? Madness
Pusic is on his way, NP is agreeing a contract for him, he should be available for Tuesdays game if it all goes well.
Thank **** for that....a sensible move....the guy runs all day and with him on the left and Brady on the right we'll be putting the chances on a plate for Fryatt and Simpson againt the white ****e.
Judging it over the 90 minutes last night, there was no doubt Chester had the better game. So if pushed to change my mind based on 1 match, then Ayala would replace Hobbs. I still stand by my original belief that Ayala is better than both.
If Ayala & Pusic are signed next week then it's a plus cos it isn't the same waking up with a hangover and remembering City had lost.. I always find you recover faster if City have won.. anyway I might be bringing in a new lodger, young blond French bird.. she'd get in anybody's back-four.. I'm getting a bit like Brownie, cos it isn't a done deal yet!
