Ironically he was paid £1m to walk. Wish I could get a job, be useless and a corrupt, greedy little ****, then get paid £1m to go

thats not a lot.... woy got more.

He was on 3 mil a year so to get only 1mil back off that contract is interesting. Its only paid to get it done rather than drag up the whole sordid mess in a court some time.

On a brighter note he can now find some far east guys looking for advice on how to be corrupt to pay him.

    Like..... WTF.

    1. Immediate response. I don't know you... i don't know who you are representing... RED FLAG.

    2. Far east... hmmmm RED FLAG. Bryan Robson got done like this, exact same set up. any mention of far east is just unspecific far off bull thats designed to hook the corrupt.

    2. Go talk to my agent, he will go through this with you (deflection)

    3. They want to hear about all sorts . why are they asking me about England. whatever about advice about a specific topic why are they going around different topics to get to hear what I have to say on them.. RED RED FLAG... Journalists would want this...

I mean... jesus wept Sam are you a total moron? was the money so interesting to you that you decided to play johnny big balls and fill these guys full of crap... and meet them more than once????

IMO this should end his career but it won't someone by christmas will be desperate at the bottom of the prem and go for this clown. IMO he is unemployable in a real job again.. and obviously unemployable as a pundit

This guy has a quoted net worth of about 10mil... probably tied up in all sorts of tax dodges etc. Thats not actually an awful lot really for the length of his career. I think the greed is what kills me. where's his bungs hidden? I'm sure he's got more hidden in cash in his house and all sorts.

sven goran erikkson lost that much "trusting" some guy to invest it... Like... why? why invest and accumulate when you are doing an all expense paid job with millions flooding your bank account. One of these contracts.. ONE would pay me to live ofr the rest of my life and most normal people... Just buy a few houses, drive a nice car.. Put a mil in a pension plan.. etc etc.. live well but like within a comfortable upper class level not play the big cock waving cash about.

I can say hand on heart... If i was approached by someone i didn't know on a quick money scheme I say NO.

If you were a consultant or doing a business deal with someone new you ask for proof of banking and credit lines etc etc... you don't blab your head off about how bent you are.

    fukcing moron <laugh>

rant over... I enjoy seeing a ferguson acolyte getting his. I would say ferguson is too smart to fall for this simple sting but he's even more bent than fat sam.

they said mutual consent. That tells me that there was some payment.

just my opinion on it but doens't mutual consent usually mean they agreed some means to terminate the contract.

"Mutual consent"- being economical with the truth. They probably told big Sam if you don't want us to spill the bean, go quietly ..

    Greed, greed, greed mate.

To 'normal' people £3m a year (£1.5m net) is a fortune, and it is. However, these days the lifestyles players and managers live is commensurate with their salary.

A week on their jollies with private jet / first class flights could do them 2 or 3 times the national average wage.

Not an excuse btw, just putting into context the level of spending.

There's conflicting reports on it in the press.

His comments were definitely at the level of gross misconduct and mutual consent doesn't mean he got a payout.

More likely they just paid him a few weeks notice, which meant he'd have taken a total of £1m for his time there imo.

No it is a clear term used in many cases... like rafa benetiz leaving us.

Its not "the sack" nor is it "he resigned" its "we came to an agreement to end this debacle."

sam took something i'm sure... no? why would you go for nothing... that's called resigning.

Yup. You are right though.. the jollies would cost a lot.

I do regularly annoy people who go on about wishing they won the lottery to retire by saying i'd need 100mil on the euromillions to retire... specifically about helicopters and yachts and ****. In reality.. a range rover in the drive, a nice leafy area with a nice house would do very nicely thanks.

you are right though. if you went on 3 cruises a year without paying attention to the cost and flew everywhere on first class you could spend a lot.... but I know retired people on a good pension that can do that.

a mill in the bank can pay you 50k per year for 20 years in just withdrawals.. and you could live very well on that. especially with no "debts" to pay like a mortgage.

As I said i'd love a pay off to go right into my pension to get it to a million type levels I would PRESUME these managers would have done this for the tax first and foremost..

Doesn't fat same still live in bolton? like... must have no mortgage and rented on his travels about the clubs. a house in spain.. an house in protugal etc.. prob all well paid for. **** sake... there should not even be a thought of 400 k under the tbale... anyway I have to stop ranting about the fool.

I totally agree mate, no argument, as I said it's just greed and being accustomed to a certain level of lifestyle.

Big Sam has a massive villa in Spain and he bought it cash with the pay off he got from Newcastle btw - he called it St James <laugh>

I just hope Mr Potato Head doesn't get it next. Makes sense he might given FA ability to pick people I dislike since replacing Capello.

Steve Bruce would leave me unable to support England again.

England should be renamed Lalaland in his honour.
