Anyone seen Souleymane Couliblay's 44 yard cracker for Kilmarnock yesterday ?

Excellent dress code, ruined by silly hair styles. A short back and sides would have made this perfect.

I'm going to guess that Rodgers didn't salute the home fans after that one...

    That's some hit.
Scored an impressive one a couple of weeks ago against Dundee, too:

Clearly got talent, so this could be his opportunity to get his career back on track. I hope he takes it.

pleased to say I was there to see my team lift the trophy.

I think Kane is much better than many people expected.

No need to rush him back, though. Let him take the time to heal fully and give him some much-deserved R&R

Hmm, wonder if that means it's a grade 2 injury (6-8 weeks) when they were fearing a grade 3 (4-6 months), or if it's even better than that?

    I thought the fear was a grade 2. I've never heard it could be 4-6 months. Maybe it's a grade 1?!?! <party>

Well that would be perfect, but as HBIC says I hope we don't feel the need to rush him back. He could do with a decent rest.

Neither did he, judging by his handling of Rooney's role in the team and Rose's hamstring strain.

Steve Bruce's name has been mentioned. God, the paucity of good English managers.

I don't see why it has to be an English manager. Maybe say that an English manager gets preference, but if there aren't any suitable ones, you have to go for the best candidate whatever nationality. It seems counter productive and blinkered to go for an English manager regardless of how good they are! But then, the FA do want to preserve their integrity...

Because hiring a non-English manager guarantees years of bleating about how it's a disgrace that England aren't managed by an Englishman.

As a counterpoint, it's worth remembering that David Cameron once listened to people with just as small-minded an outlook and gave them what they wanted, and look what happened when he did that...

Cameron, he could do the job and he's free. We could have a referendum on whether to play 3 or 4 at the back. Better still, Donald Trump is likely to become available soon. He could build a wall across the goal to stop the Mexicans, Argies and Brazilians scoring.

On second thoughts, how about John Terry, his dad could sell all of the opposition players coke so the all fail drugs tests and we win by default whilst his mum could steal their wallets.
