It's always disappointing when people read too much into manager speak. They are cautious, cagey, guarded, and rightly so when speaking to the press,
dont talk ****ing stupid! SB could have wiggled his wonky nose and scored 7 in the second half, like he has done in many of our games in the past... :]
Completely agree Kemps. I pointed that out in my MOM comments when I gave Marshall a "Dishonourable mention" for his poor performance. That should at worst been a 2-1 loss even with 10 men. Marshall dived over one penalty which Jak would have saved easily. The first (Lailanas) and third goal were slow rollers into the corners while Marshall stood flatfooted on the line and didnt even attempt to dive for, much like McGregor after his injury. Just hope Phelan reinstates Jak against Chelsea. We need his agility and anticipation.
This Jakupovic love is getting a bit silly now. We've signed a bloody good keeper and we should absolutely play him.
We've got one keeper who's not at all happy... Lukáš Vráblik @LukasVrablik Dušan Kuciak (Hull's GK): 'Even before my injury, I was 3rd goalkeeper. Until today, I don't understand why they bought me in winter.' Lukáš Vráblik @LukasVrablik 2: 'If nothing changes until winter, I will want to move where I will have bigger chance to play. I was thinking about it in the summer.'
Made it into the HDM... Dusan Kuciak says 'I don't know why Hull City bought me' http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/8203...9758160-detail/story.html#e1J8rifoCvAFa6AU.99
I gotta say I agree with him .. I have no idea why they bought him either .. certainly not as good as McGregor and probably not as good as Jak .. money spunked down the drain for me
I think he was almost certainly brought in because Bruce didn't think Jak was good enough, then Jak upped his game and Kuciak never got a look in.
Probably true .. unfortunately the clips I saw of him prior to signing he didn't look that good to start with .. probably on a par with Jak before the latter as you correctly state upped his game
Marshall is our best keeper, fact. Without him we would be out of the cup and would've been on the end of an even heavier defeat that we were at the weekend. One big difference between Jak and Marshall is that when Jak saves, quite often is palmed straight back into play with the first Arsenal goal as an example. Whereas Marshall either pushes it away from goal or out for a corner. To back that up, the two games Marshall has played are the two highest on corners conceded. But I fancy our chances defending against set pieces. The sox goals Marshall's conceded in a city shirt, I can't blame him for any of them. Stokes goal, Arnoutavic was shown inside by Robbo and was a ferocious strike. Lallana's goal, even after seeing replays I have the same thought as I did when it happened, Marshall had his weight on the other foot. With his balance the way it was if he had dived he'd have collapsed and got nowhere near it. First penalty, it's a pen. It's anyone's luck what happens with it. Mane's goal, decent strike but very poor closing down. Coutinho's goal. Unstoppable. Second penalty, again; it's a pentalty. His two games, he's had a huge hand in getting us through to the next round of he cup and our defence shot themselves in the foot against a VERY good Liverpool team. Jak would have done no better.
