If we stick with Jimmy, we will go down. Get rid and quick.

Tbh, the only entertainment we're likely to get this season will be the inevitable sacking, the guessing who's going to replace him, and the few short weeks of optimism we experience with the new man until the dust clears and we realise that he is just as likely to do a job for us as the last few we've had, which is not very. I can't wait...

I would agree with this, but isn't he on a one-year rolling contract which is renewable in December? I'd say he's certainly got until then, but unless there is some improvement in performance between now and then, the pressure for change may become too great. I hope he turns it round, but many on here seem to hope he doesn't.

Have to remember Chris Ramsey had better players including Charlie Austin "achieving" his results. That in mind JFH record isn't much worse than we realistically can expect.
That said I would have hoped for more though.

Sack him, then re-employ him as something else. Team selection and tactics consultant perhaps. Get Warnock in as temporary under manager and transfer cash flow administrator (pending FA investigation). Get rid of Warnock after three mind numbingly boring games which we don't lose. Then get the 'high risk' duo of Allardyce and Pearson in and give them a free hand and Tony's PIN number. They could bring in Redknapp as transfer advisor. When all three are convicted (Pearson of something truly bizarre and disturbing), as an act of charity (on his part) we get alcoholic depressive drunk driver Raymond "Butch" Wilkins in to shore things up. When the accounts are published and the FFP fine is revealed, the board request relegation to the West London Punjabi Social League Div 2 (tier 23) in a bold 'ground zero, build from the bottom' strategy. After relegation to Div 3 (under 15s section) finally we appoint Ian Holloway as part time player manager and groundsman.

Sandro remains on the bench at best throughout. Les Ferdinand is still spoiling his sharp suit look by wearing a pullover as well as shirt and tie.

Wilkins is too busy driving the team bus for that

Also have to remember that the players who we seem to vaguely like, and without whom this team doesn't function at all, Chery and Polter, were brought in by Ramsey.

THANK YOU ........... for your logical response. I hope other members take note.

FOOTNOTE - A silly question l know but need to ask ................ I know Mackie is injured but will he still score an own goal this weekend?

Broadly agree with this, though if we lose the next few badly he and Les should go sooner. But seems to me there have been some small improvements the last games including Jimmy trying new formations during games. Pawel and Sylla look decent signings. I think Jimmy and Les should be given a bit longer to see if these improvements continue and they can build something which, with a little strengthening January, can give an outside chance of a top 6 finish. Otherwise they should both go and a Colin or a Bruce be brought in.

Clubs bigger than us have already lost at Burton this season, and no doubt others will. To take a point there is OK or would be if we also took 3 in our home games.

Rubbish Watford. You sound like the captain on the Titanic saying the boat won't sink until it's too late.
I would rather stick NW in because he would do a much better job than the muppet who is in charge now.
We are going one way under this bloke and it's down.
    Change before it's too late.

I am banking on him scoring 6 own goals from his sickbed. We have a record to maintain against the Ruperts.

I'm not saying we can't get relegated as it is but I doubt we will. Assuming with any manager we'll end up between 7th and 21st, it's essentially change for change's sake. What's Warnock realistically going to achieve if he's got the job from now until May with a group of players who know he'll be gone after that?

If we're in with a genuine chance of relegation in a few months I'll be proved wrong but my honest appraisal of the season is it's been poor but with this manager (mediocre) and players (some bad some good) against the rest of this league I still think we'll be mid-table.

At the end of the day, we all know who our best manager has been in recent years - Neil Warnock. His record proves it.

If the records show it and we know it, why don't the ****ing board know it!!! I find it exasperating!!!

Because he's 67, possibly about to be implicated in the bungs scandal and I'm guessing still has a seriously ill wife?

I love what he did for us and in hindsight getting rid of him was the wrong choice but at best he'd be a stopgap.

Wenger is about the same age and I'm sure Sir Alex was older when he retired. The possibility of him being involved in a bungs scandal has implications of course, but what manager out there is not going to be implicated, and apparently it was his wife who insisted he went back to work. I'd be on the 'phone to him NOW!!

He would never come for the simple fact we have DoF.
That's why he didn't stay in the first place.

Sack him and don't replace him
    Could start a trend
Could be like the prediction thread
Different supporters could take turns picking the team
Could the results get any worse
