I can understand your dislike of journo's and the underhand way they hack into people's computers and phones to expose their private life. However genuine investigative journalism cannot surely be classed the same? Unless of course you feel he should get away with this kind of thing? Without this kind of journalism how else would we find out?

Those people who tar all journalists with the same brush as the News International scumbags responsible for the phone hacking scandal are forgetting what a vital role true investigative journalism plays in protecting democracy. The best example I can think of is possibly the most famous: Bernstein and Woodward risking their careers and their very lives to get to the bottom of what happened at the Watergate building all those years ago. What happened to Big Sam isn't in that league, agreed, but the questions needed to be asked and he has paid for his stupidity. The best thing about this sorry affair is that it's one small victory against corruption in public office.

"I hate journos" is a bit of a daft sweeping statement too. I know lots of journos, and there are many different types. Majority of the ones I know are lovely, conscientious, intelligent and diligent people.
You probably don't understand what a salesperson is either. Sounds to me you're talking about low paid call centre workers asked to ring random numbers and spout a line from a script. That and dodgy people who are often criminals trying to rip people off. You should be careful too of using a big broom. Utter ignorance.
