If I'm gonna be a geek and waste time while there's football on, then at least credit the right person as the sad twat who did it
Apologies. Am most of the way through this Brecon Gin and my head is fuzzy. I shall always, and happily, acknowledge you as the sad twat such as you wish to be. Though that doesn't look quite right. I think that I should just get on with looking at tomorrow's card at Bangor-On-Dee instead... Apologies, etc..
When I saw this I went straight to Preduction League thread as I was sure that no person with any self-esteem or feelings for his fellow man would research this load of drivel while keeping his eager competition entrants waiting for a long overdue update. I now feel badly let down.
Proper Mike Bassett stuff this, like, but to say I'm not a fan of Big Sam is an understatement. We should all be thankful his witless form of football was only inflicted on us for one game. It's got be Harry Redknapp to take over. No worries about bungs and impropriety whatsoever with him. Was it Steve Bruce who was on the shortlist of two with Allardyce in the summer? Still out of work so it will probably be him. It'll just be more of the same ****e unfortunately. Shearer fancied himself for the job too if I recall correctly. I'd like to see someone who plays attacking stuff but the truth is we just don't have the best crop of players at the moment (as we discussed a while back) so it would take a minor miracle for any manager to get the team to a final or semi in the world cup.
Is this a case of Fat Sam's career is over or just 'not in keeping with the conduct expected of an England manager'? I'm on holiday at the moment so it's difficult to gauge the reaction back home.
Its all over the papers and news, as you would expect. The job of replacing him has already started, the mackem board want him back ffs Where you at General?
Driving around Iceland in a campervan. Was ****ing baltic last night but saw the aurora borealis so was worth it. Stunning country to visit.
I've always wanted an answer to that question! Whoa re the 4 for Man City, I can only get Keegan and Erikson. Are you including Pearce?
Yes I've included everyone who has ever managed England during a game, so that includes Stuart Pearce (1 game), Peter Taylor (1), Howard Wilkinson (2) and Joe Mercer (7). They were still technically England Managers, even though they were only appointed as temporary managers. Some of them managed the team during competitive games. The four Man City ones were Keegan, Erikson, Stuart Pearce and Joe Mercer.
Mercer, of course. Well we definitely have the claim of sharing the most permanent managers with England. More of a shame than a claim really.
