The ref's consistent on stoppage time, isn't he? Very little in either half.
    Fine by me! <laugh>

I like N'Koudou. Direct, tricky, and quick.

First win in the bag too.

    1-0 FT. That'll do nicely.
Far from the perfect performance, but a tricky trip and it's three points.
N'Koudou was bright when he came on and we had virtually all of the ball.
    Some lessons learned, I think.

We'd have taken that at the start of the game. **** game to watch , but away from home and under strength, so can't be too picky

I was literally typing the same thing.

    Just with more Rammstein lyrics

...and a couple of photos of Lady Charlotte.

Spliff of the match goes to N'koudou....enjoy it saan.

Son gets a little roll up to enjoy.

Rest of the lads can take tokes on mine.

  8. Good result and some bright moments - mostly the first glimpse of GKD. Otherwise a right mix. Thought Davies had a really good game throughout.

Good win. Not a bad result in Monaco either although a draw would have suited us better. Falcao out and I fancy our chances.

Looks happy to run at defenders and cut inside or go wide and put crosses in.
Shouldn't be unusual in a winger, but it's increasingly rare.

Bayer are 1-0 in Monaco, which means we have one hell of a finely balanced group on our hands going into round 3.

I'll take that result everyday. Much better attacking performance in the second half, although I really have my doubts about our midfield, unless we can get Dembele back for the weekend,

Very impressed with the little we've seen of N'Koudou, great pace and a lot of trickery too. Son gets another goal, he's been absolutely vital for us so far. Not sure anyone saw that coming at the start of the season.

That's about it. Hopefully we'll have some players back for City.

Good result. Thought we played OK without any real incisiveness.

If any time deserved to win it was us. We dominated the play.

    We're well in this group.

Monaco equalised! I think that's good for us, Leverkusen are the best side we face in our group imo.

It doesn't matter how good you are if defenders know what you're going to do.
You could see them all backing off and having to chuck numbers at him, just because he was unpredictable and quick.
I'm guessing that he and Sissoko have been brought in to give us options out wide, which makes sense.
Park the bus and we can go around it, if it's not working.

Definitely some players in the squad who do not have the temperament
for the CL. They are the ones who should not be in a CL starting XI.

But, as you said, they don't know what he's going to do. He's happy to cut inside, or go to the byline.

Also, If you look back at Bale's early days, for example, knowing what he's going to do is one thing, stopping him doing it legally, is another.
