Hurrahhh, they won't go for Bruce as he is cut from the same cloth ... Maybe we can get some fresh thinking coach coz the England set up needs that far more than the same old boring trudgery
Made a right arse of himself. All he had to do was keep his nose clean. None of the candidates they'll talk about are good enough. I reckon he'll retire from management altogether now, much richer today than yesterday.
Right decision all round, but very disappointing. What on earth was Sam thinking? How to blow your dream in one simple lesson. I am really surprised by those who thought there was nothing accountable in his actions. Bruce and Phelan might not be such a poor call in terms of odds, but heaven help English football if it happens.
Gone... Maybe Brucey won't be taking the Derby job, any time soon...Good luck Steve The only guy I can recall has having one England game: Peter Taylor. I think Joe Mercer had two...
Appalling appointment who was never going to take England to the next level. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Should have kept his neb out of the trough - Who do they appoint now though? It's a tough job.
Greed, money! You can argue naivety for one person, but not both Sam and his agent, who appeared just as game, greed and money, simple as.
I thought Allardyce was a sensible chap, but listening to him talk about how much Robbie Williams earns and what Prince Harry is like he sounded like an utter tool. It's reminiscent of Steve McLaren becoming starstruck by the England players, the sense that Allardyce was socially out of his depth and had neither the sophistication nor savoir-faire required for the role. The main culprit in all this is the ****ing FA for appointing him in the first place. Greg Dyke should step down along with BFS. He's been utterly useless in the role - one he was never qualified to undertake.
If your not whiter than white don't apply. Eddie Howe for me. Young up and coming manager who plays the game the right way and looks squeaky clean.
Makes sense, I suppose he could of dragged it out for a lot longer had they refused to pay him anything.
Colin Appleton. He would be perfect with the media as nobody would have a clue what he was taking about and at 80 odd he isn't going to be shagging the birds at FA headquarters
Plus that would almost certainly relegate Bournemouth, so there'd be one less relegation spot to worry about.
Are you mental, ffs? Redknapp far worse than Allardyce for dodginess. He knows it, the Press know it, even the FA know it. Ferguson never been called to account for family's 'dealings', but the Press have long memories, so we live in hope. Whatever happened to Mike Newell eh?
