Hoddle often came out with some absolute mystic meg and faith healing rubbish, not denying that but my point was he wasn't looking for any back handers. ,
Did the Telegraph target any other managers? The English press really seem to go out of the way to destroy whoever takes the England job. Instead of tearing into whoever is at the helm at every given opportunity it'd be nice if they put a positive spin on a fresh start rather than instantly hunting them down.
Sam Allardyce is a disgrace and needs to be punished, humiliated and made an example of. Therefore he should continue as England manager
Allardyce had already been accused of sleazy stuff in the past, so upon getting the England job he must surely have thought it prudent to ensure he is now totally by the book? It would seem not though. I don't know if the things he said are directly sackable, but it doesn't look good on him. I hope they give him a second chance and he then chooses to give the job its due respect, though I suspect he's shot himself in the foot here. Who else is there really? Just manage the team, don't accept dodgy invites Sam. Don't you earn enough already??
Were money is involved, very few of these people have any class, which just about puts the vast majority of people in football today, in his category.
Did they do it Hodgson, McLaren, Capello? People saying this would have a point if the previous few England managers had all succumbed in similar circumstances.
Didnt they get Mclarne for shagging some woman? They got Bobby Robson for shagging some woman too. They will have looked for anything they could get on the other two you mention. Our press are ****s. FACT I reckon most managers especially years ago took bungs. Its why a lot shipped out a load of players and bought in a load. Matt Busby had a big gambling habit. So what? Nowadays he'd be lynched. I cant stand all this faux outrage. He's not the Archbishop of Canterbury. FFS
My first thought is what a greedy fella. Your getting paid £3m a year, plus bonuses and sponsorship approved by the FA, why would you meet some "football related businessmen"? He is done for I think, the FA made a big deal around Blatter and his corruption, they cannot risk having there focal point been subject to anything slightly near corruption. My guess it will be either "bringing the FA into disrepute", or he will resign with a golden handshake and release a statement along lines of "I have not done anything wrong but dont want to divert focus of squad"
He's off. What a ****ing cockwomble. I want Eddie Howe, no chance with the season already in bloom though. Brucey maybe with a chance? Shouldn't be though. That leaves Pardew...
