There is a bigger question though.... if we do sign Dahoud whose place is in danger?

My problem with Can is his ball hogging and inability to make the right decision when he is dribbling. Given time he will hurt you but I always feel if you press him he will lose the ball. He also struggles with combination play at times therefore. I actually think if we splash the cash on Dahou he may have more competition.

That said, it is a good problem to have at the moment and long may it last. It's Klopps problem thankfully not mine.

I think a lot depends on what Klopp wants for the long term - do we persist with 433 or 4231?

I don't think it's a coincidence that Hendo has found form now that he's back in a midfield 3.

Klopp said last night formation was only determined by the players. he went 4231 at the start as there was no time to assess players properly.

he's gone 433 (nominally) this year to exploit firmino, coutinho and mane... and lallana it seems.

No, we don't shoe horn anyone into the side. Everyone must earn their spot.

I think Can can offer the flexibility thats required. when (not if) he comes in he will play well.

I think he could take any of the 3 cm spots and we'd be fine.

contrast this to stewart and lucas who are only the holding player and not the other two roles thats what this current system needs.

I was laughing at the sky guy trying to put number son klopp's system.. is it 3-7 then? no... its 442 when defending, 3 players protect, the rest should be part of attack and could be anywhere.. go put a formation on that like...

But until one of those three (Hendo, Lallana or Ninja) play poorly or are unavailable, Can should be on the bench.

If Can comes off the bench and plays very well, it gives Klopp a "good" headache

Exactly the same applies to Studge and Origi up top. Possibly Lovren at the back now too but I suspect he'll replace Klavan straight away tbh

The best way to keep momentum is to disrupt the team and put the best players straight back in.

    Win win.

So who are the best players for the fast, free flowing midfield and attack that is doing so well for you at the moment?

Or the best way to demoralise players is to drop them despite performing well!

"Here, I don't give a **** how well you do, once Johnny Big-Bollocks is available again you ****ing dropped fella!"

Once we are back in Europe we will need a big squad as Klopp's style is very intense.

With just domestic football it is fine but with Europe we will need more rotation, and of course competition for places.

Can may need to bide his time atm, but in the long run Can wont steal any ones place, they will rotate.
