To be honest, it's only really a bloke who's got the strength to get into those deep tissues when I've gone for a massage. I've got my missus for all the gentle stuff :)

I had a back injury from a collision with a delivery truck on my bike years ago, so I need to make sure I keep supple and fit. I do yoga every day and have a couple of massages a month to iron out the knots

So you do Yoga as well Piskie!

FFs......have you been consoling Angelina Jolie too?

But yeah.....back injuries take some serious work to heal...In fact a proper injury rarely heals right.

I worked in health in the NHS for 16 years and now I run my own health food business, so it's a running theme in my life. The injury forced me to make sure I look after my back though, and you're right it never really heals 100%. I have to manage it. But I surf, swim and cycle regularly I'm fitter now than I was when I was 25

I'm about as far west as you can go before you get wet toes. Out in the wilds of west penwith.

Still really want to go and I know the kids would love it. Have booked the ferries for three more weeks down France and Spain though so will have to do a bit of proper saving if I manage to pull it off. That takes priority.

There's a good looking festival in Brecon, Green Man, but that is always when we're actually away so it's not looking great to get to one next year.

I quite naively thought that once I'd made the purchase of the behemoth the holidays would be cheaper, after all you're taking your accommodation with you, right? Are they ****, the sites cost a fortune and the ferries cost an absolute bomb.

As do festivals. They've got a cheek at Camp Bestival to charge £200 more than a tent, it's not like they provide water or power hook up. It's just field space, like with a tent.

We might have got a project in Truro next year. I've said I won't do it, it's too far. This is bad enough.

I love living down here. The natural environment is stunning and the perfect playground for outdoor activity. It's away from the hussle and bussle of city life. The kids are all into surfing and skating rather than postcode battles and knifing each other. It's a million miles away from the environment I grew up in in south London. The only down side a that it takes an age to drive anywhere up country. But the last few times I've been to London, I fly from Newquay 45 mins <ok>

I can see some 'ignored content' has popped up on my screen. I hope HIAG isn't welching on his agreement not to mention me again ?

He's not done very well with honouring this latest challenge. I think it's probably time for a forfeit by now.

Just had a couple of games of Overwatch and a sneaky chong.

Off out shortly for a Sugar-Free Skinny Vanilla Latte with my Bredda Fossy. He said he's got to pop out to buy some stamps for his boss, thought I'd meet him at Costa.

What is it with this skinny bollocks at Costa anyway? Costa is British, Starbucks yank. Leave it to those ****s.

I get a Costa on the M4 or M5 on the way to Devon and on the way back, without fail. Monday and Friday.

    Conversation;

me, can I have a medium Americano to take away?
    them, any milk with that?
    me, yes please, skimmed.
    them, skinny?
    me, no, skimmed.

... back in the day when I was still playing footie (would have been in my early 30s) i jarred my back playing on a Saturday and the club got me an appointment at a specialist sports injury clinic in Monks Ridborough (Bucks), The Paddocks ... went on a Wednesday evening and the osteopath / physion was a tiny African guy who confirmed the muscle injury etc and applied both ice and heat ... told me to come back the next Saturday morning when, by then, he thought the inflammation in the lower back would have all settled down ...

Went back on the Saturday morning expecting to see the same guy when, to my surprise (and delight) out poppoed a real cracker in her mid 20s who had me strip off the shirt and lay on a massage table ... she must have worked my back for a good 40 mins ... the inflammation had indeed calmed down and she told me that I had knocked some facet vertebrae out of alignment ... she really went to town on them with her thumbs until she said she had re-aligned them ... I'd walked into the place like a freekin' pensioner ... could hardly straighten up ... when she'd finished I got up from the table with absolutely no pain and full movement restored ... absolutely incredible ... fortunately the only time I've had a 'bad back' ... but the pain was excrutiating ... the massage was absolutely wonderful.

Also struck lucky in a previous employement - flew Virgin Business Class to New York on visit to our US offices in New Jersey ... they had a female masseuse on board and if your seat number was selected you got a massage ... Indian head / head and shoulders etc ... if your seat number wasn't selected you were then guaranteed a massage the next time you flew ... my then boss, who I was travelling with, got selected on both the outbound and inbound ... but she had fallen fast asleep both times .. so the masseuse offered it to me instead as her 'colleague' ... awesome - free bar - starter - free bar - fillet steak - free bar - pud - massage - free bar ... jet lag? ... is for wimps! ... that flying stuff is easy .... <laugh>
