Bless you Stan. That was a daft claim when the person you copied it from embarrassed themselves by making.

Why not let today be the first in your life when you have a thought of your own, instead of copying others in the hope it looks like people like you.

That's a cracking impression of Pete. You're evolving into him nicely. <laugh>

Who ever wrote that sensible party thing, really has found the target audience. :emoticon-0105-wink:

You still can't quite work out why people laugh after you've posted.

You need to use the word "seem" more. Then you'll have nailed it mini-Pete. :1980_boogie_down:

That was ****e before the edit. Adding lies to bullshit doesn't make them any nearer to truth. <doh>

You totally missed my point. Let me put it another way - Islam is a religion shared by 1.6 billion people the world over, all do not share the same political ideologies. There's no way you can say that every Muslim has the same political views from the Saudi Royal Family to Mo Farah, I mean in that case then Sadiq Khan wouldn't be a member of the Labour Party!

I didn't miss that point, it's what I've been trying to explore on the other thread, but it doesn't alter the fact that it is political.

The sensible party should make every Tory supporter to live for a year with no job and dole money and see if they complain then about those who cant find jobs that pay enough to live a decent life and have to use food banks to feed their families........Also i would want all those that can ignore the plight of the refugees today to swap places and live like they have too for 6 months and i guarantee many peoples views will change....

Maybe, to show how a truly charitable person would do it, we could have an exchange, where those that want us to support more refugees, put them up in their house, at their own personal expense.

Others could then be given an opportunity to support the refugees in creating a self sustainable existence nearer to their homeland and families, as a stop gap until the reason for their plight is resolved and they can use their new skills to rebuild their homeland.

It'd be interesting to see which refugee group was happier at the end of the experience.

I don't think that making them live in Hull is very fair, actually. They're already fleeing one utter ****hole.

My Mistake, I was thinking of International refugees. I didn't realise they meant Londoners.

If the ladies on here are to be believed, nobody in Hull would want them, so it's not an issue. Get with the bullshit party programme. <doh>

It's interesting how those insisting on open borders, back pedal away from them housing and funding them themselves, even when it's only hypothetical. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Which category do you fall into?

If the former, how many refugees would you be prepared to house?

If the latter, what contribution would you personally make?

Or is it more likely that the Sensible Party's policy on immigration/refugees would be "not our problem"?

Have you ever been there? It's actually worse than you'd imagine and it really does stink of fish. Might explain why Pete and mini-Pete are so twisted with hate! <laugh>

No, it's just a nonsense argument. It's like suggesting that you personally pay for the NHS if you want to keep it or fund a doctor.
If you want to leave the EU, then why vote for it to happen? Why not just move to a non-EU country?
It's another I'm Alright, Jack, Charity Starts At Home piece of selfish, pointless idiocy.

I'd be happy to carry on and increase some of the stuff already done to help the victims across the globe. I'll be doing it anyway.
What about you Stan, shall you have a word with your mam about squeezing a few in to yours and offer to use your pocket money to subsidise it?

Of course, the noble socialist, generous to a fault until it's their wallet at work, then it's excuses after excuse.

If you want to be IN the EU, why not move to an EU country? I'm okay here, along with the democratic choice.

edit, your analogy about the NHS is bollocks too, we do pay, it's only free at the point of use, and then only for certain things.

So you mean you'll continue to pay your civil servant taxes to help contribute to international aid payments whilst whining about how international aid payments are contributing to keeping taxes above what you consider to be a fair level?

Or to put it another way, **** all.

My mam married an immigrant so technically she's already housed a bunch of us! <laugh>
