I think the very prestige of the appointment raises the profile of this club, despite our relegation.

I really hope he stays long-term, but I can't help but think we may have to attract another top Manager at some point.

He'd be a tough act to follow (hopefully) and I think now that all the other top Managers have seen Rafa here, they would seriously consider Newcastle United as a future destination.
Especially if we're back in the Premier League by then.

Bottom line says his appointment has increased our current chances of success, and also that of our future ones.
