Mitro would actually need to be given a run of games to score. I'm fairly sure he would score goals at this level. Not sure Rafa trusts his temper
Agree with this. So far this season Mitro hasn't been given a run of games. If he was I'm sure he'd settle in to this division and start scoring.
I just don't know that it's possible, particularly in the Championship, to deploy different tactics each time. I mean, we're on course for a 51+ game season and they hit you hard and fast; we turned up to play Villa one way, but will we be deploying something different vs Norwich? Can that be done? For me we've purchased the strongest squad in the division. If you have the strongest squad, my personal opinion is that you should then be calling the shots and playing - as good ol' Pards would term it - on the front foot. 2 x DM's is way overkill, we should only be deploying one. I think three in the middle is a decent idea but Shelvey/Diame should be both sitting ahead of Hayden/Colback and alternating in forward runs. The full backs should be looking forward and we should be encouraging our wide players, Ritchie/Atsu/Gouffran, to be the ones supporting Mitrovic. Failing that, ring Ranieri and ask for his playbook. I agree that I don't think we'd lost many just playing two banks of 4 and a big man/little man up top.
My point being some loanie kid from Chelsea has scored 8 in 11 with a far less regarded midfield for bristol city, and Mitro can't be arsed to even get in the game.
I've got it on good authority that Moyes rung the Samaritans after the Palace match and after 30 mins listening to him the Samaritan hung himself.
On Mitro, he just seems to get half starts here or there. Give him 6 games starting and I bet he'd get 5 goals +.
I think that's a bit harsh on Moyes. Every time I hear him speaking, I think to myself - "He's got a point!"
Moyes does look like a man devoid of friends.... and also very lonely...... almost searching for that elusive something to make himself whole again...... please log in to view this image
