    Paul Flynn's hot dog carts outside ABC.
    McLeish's Bakery.
    Mallory's Hardware Shops.
    Starkeys on Beverley Road.
    Norman Lovitt's Programme Shop, first on Queensgate Street then on Anlaby Raod.
    The Chicken ( and pie) Shop on South Street.
    Army and Navy Stores, Carr Lane and Beverley Road.
    Mackmans,
    Maxwell @ Daniels record shop.
    Curtis Shoe Shop, Saville Street.
    The original outdoor market, especially Bob Carver fish and chip tent and the coal fired fryers in Hull's old town.

    When I was little Carmichael's on George Street always seemed like a proper posh shop for nice things for adults who could afford it and I thought I'd shop in there once I'd made it.

    Doesn't even make the list, unless it used to be called summat else?

    Willis Ludlow is long gone, it became Allders, then Primark.

    Bladons closed decades ago, it's been an office building called Shirethorn House for as long as I can remember.

    It was, so was the original one in Anlaby and that tiny one down Wolfreton Road (near The Springhead pub).

    lived down Bernadette for 49 years First lad who had chippy , big kid who swetted his way througt the fry but top quality and very helpful Not sure i believe he had a heart problem and left us sadly After that another family with son moved in tall slim kid but again top class fish n chips His lad served as well before taking over and eventually renting it out to our friends from warmer climes and there the quality ends Smells scruffy overgrown backway and the lad still lives down Bernadette I would really like to correct him if you know what i mean

    I used to work @ Goodfellows - the owner was Elliot Oppels brother; he who used to commentate on City for Humberside, also my maths teacher @ Newton Hall. The Goodfellows Bro' had a handshake like a wet lettuce...

    Hull City AFC Club Shops, behind South Stand seats @BP, in north stand supermarket @BP, Paragon Square near where Stanley's is now, in Prinny Quay, now in Prossy centre.

    I think the father died and Dave who was the son had a career away from the business and it just closed down after his father's passing.
