Garry Monk was saying just that in the post match interview following our 1-0 victory over the tractor boys. (that BC are the in form side) Move to one side Tractor boys, bring on the combine harvesters!!!! City have the divisions top marksman 18 year old Tammy Abraham! He has hit the net 10 times in all competitions, seven of those in the league. Leeds on the other hand are developing a reputation for having one of the most stingy defences in the division having conceded one goal in the last four games. Can they keep it going? Will Monk change the team? A win for City will surely put them in a play off position (or thereabouts). Should Leeds be worried? What do the City fans think of Ayling?
Morning Elland, same team to start, Monk has options on the bench, if Bridcutt fit then put him on the bench, introduce him to shore the midfield up with O'Kane if we take the lead. Jansson to sort the loanee out from Chelski, 2-1 to the lads
Morning fellas.. I think this is going to be tight. 2-1 either way. too difficult to shout which way though. history does have a habit of deciding these things and that is on your side. What do you think of Ayling? Really rated him myself, but not all City fans did.
LUFC, probably the best English team never to win the European Cup. You gave us the finest defender I've ever seen, the great Norman Hunter. Anyway, that was then and tomorrow will no doubt be another tight Championship fixture, but I do think we'll just shade it. As for Ayling, in time you'll work it out for yourselves - he's ok going forward and comfortable on the ball. Defending is very much his weak point.
Ayling has been bought to be cover for Berardi imo. (he's injured atm). Berardi was probably our best player last season and can't see him not being first choice when he gets back. Ayling seems like spmeone who can at least challenge for a RB spot in the championship though. What I have seen of him he seems steady but not outstanding.
Morning all. Isnt it great that were back to discussing footie matters after some of the nonsense weve had to endure. Liking the idea that we dont seem to have weak links anymore and still some quality on the bench to pick from as well
Interesting comments by Bartley this morning... He credits our clean sheets and defending down to changes implemented by Clotet. Bartley, on loan from Swansea, told BBC Radio Leeds: "You'd have to give the credit to Pep. He had a look and then changed Our set-up slightly.
Josh on then other thread mentions how he hates the loan market and I completely agree. It's totally unfair and distorts the league if you happen to be good mates with someone at Chelsea etc and IMHO should be banned. However we seem to be the biggest beneficiary this season... Jansson Bartley Hernandez Sacko That's over a third of our best team and Grimes might still have a big part to play as well. I believe Jannsson and Hernandez have permanent deals in place and those could be completed in January but not sure if there are agreements in place for the others. Pretty sure Bartley is just a one season loan with no option to buy. Great that we have these players but I'd be much happier building for the future if all were signed permanently. I know it's gone wrong before with Bamba and Doukara but these 4 seem to be in a different class.
Morning Banksy, don't think there will be much between the teams tomorrow. Hope we can find a streaming link...
