I was thinking of what words it possibly have been if the start was a letter #bored Chunt Clunt Crunt Cwunt?
If Hendo keeps playing well enough to be in the side I can't see JK being in any hurry to take the armband from him.
There was a caller on 606 earlier laying into Hendo big style...........said he was a red but I have my doubts. Hendo does the spadework, the un-glamorous stuff that doesn't attract headlines but is a vital cog in the engine
Sounds suspect, he's been great in the last few games. Even if he hadn't been would someone really feel the need to lay into him when we've won 3 on the bounce and are looking a real power?
Exactly, he's in a great spell of form at the mo..................looks really focused in the tunnel pre-match too
Always been a Hendo fan, especially his fantastic endurance. He's suffered from day one in a fatuous comparison with Gerrard. If only Can had half his movement.
That's my only doubt with Can, he can be slow off the mark and you imagine that could catch us out sometimes with him in midfield.
Henderson gives a ****. That's why people like him. He has courted the gerrard comparison though. He's tried to hard to be a big shot and take corners and frees etc. Just stick the the core of the game you need to deliver imo. The rest takes care of itself. Oh and for the love of God just stop taking corners and hitting first man.. just keep doing what you are doing in general play is my view... the thing I have appreciated most is him stepping in when matip goes off on one. That says to me he gets what the position needs.
Same. Put him in the same bracket as Kuyt and Lucas; slow start but the work ethic and Tashkent was there to see.
All of our CM options at the moment I feel are at the level of being good, rather than great. I think Can has the potential to be a great but he's got a little bit to go to become a great player.
Can has got everything but movement. When he tires (about half an hour from the start of the game and the second half) he covers the ground like Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
