'Blimey Redprintt, have you had dodgy eggs this morning?!!'

I think you expect me to be hard on Junior because I thought he was a useless player.
I assure you, my comments then, have absolutely no bearing on my view of him as our 'head coach'.
Say what you see, the boy has done well.

You are quite hard on him for who he is, but fair play to you, you are seeing there is potential for him possibly being a good manager..
Had your latest grandchild been born a boy, "Lee" could have been a good name!!! lol

I think LJ is doing ok.
Yesterday, and perhaps beating Villa were the highlights so far.
Losing to Sheffield W after being 2-0 up was a lowlight.
I see Fielding and Flint made the Sun's team of the weekend. Amazing that Tammy never made it - but it is the Sun I suppose!

On Leeds - they have been a thorn in our sides for some time and a bit of a bogey team for us. I predict a draw 2-2 with us conceding the equaliser late into stoppage time :( they have just started winning again too after a poor start.

Nah - we'll beat them by the odd goal.

    The odd goal you say
After putting four past Fulham I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't stroll past Leeds.
Our mojo is working right now

I highly doubt you'll stroll past us. Confidence at Leeds is high given we've won four in a row now. It also looks like we have signed the best defender in the championship (Jansson) and we've only conceded once when he has played.

I am wary of your team though, especially at your place. League table doesn't lie although we've had a major upturn in fortunes of late. Predict a good game and by a goal either way.

To say you'll stroll past us is a little ignorant imo.

We have failed to beat Leeds when they have been ****e - let alone when they have started to win games. They have been a bit of a bogey team for us for about 40 years.
I love your confidence BRR but I think it will be a draw.

City are not strolling past anybody at home although Villas fans would have put up a better fight v City second half than their players could muster.

Luckily we did it when it mattered most, which was 1-0 (Gillies) in front of 47,000 at Elland Road in the FA Cup 5th round replay in 1974.

    And I was there.....:1980_boogie_down:

We owe them one, and hopefully this season, especially at home, we might have half a chance.

I was there too - a memorable day for my family and for the people of Bristol, when a bright young team announced to the world that they were on the rise. There followed after, a wonderful 5 years of excitement and football treasures. Please can we do that again ?

We didn't have a car, but my school mates Dad did and it was a bronze company Hillman Avenger. My Dads mate worked for Peter Lane the haulage company (and was quite high up hence the company car) if anyone remembers them ?

My mates family had some relations up in Manchester so we went there first and then on to Leeds for a 14.00 or 14.30 Kick Off. I don't remember which, but the game itself was fantastic, as was the first game at Ashton Gate to be honest. To see the likes of Jack Charlton, Billy Bremner, Alan Clark and co in the flesh was quite something. The only big club I'd seen us play before was Spurs in the '71 LC Semi First Leg and a 1-1 draw.

Coming home from Leeds, the motorway just seemed to be a sea of cars with Red & White scaves fluttering from their windows, and we passed the City coach and all the players were drinking and celebrating. I remember it all like it was yesterday..............and even some of the music from the car journey. Part Of The Union by the Strawbs in particular !

Agree with this - Gary Monk seems to be getting his message across and Leeds appear to be the most stable they've been in years, despite their joke owner still being there. I expect a good game, but if our lads get complacent on the back of one good result then we could be brought back down to earth with an almighty bump.
