Well, was that not glorious from our mackem neighbours yesterday? Bad enough that they throw away a two goal lead, at home, and with the clock running down, but they then concede right at the death. And all of this to Pardew's team. Wonderful, another step closer to Mexit
Too many teams on low points to think the Mackems couldn't get out of the bottom 3 but they will certainly be in a relegation battle all season. Keeping Moyes would be the best thing for them tbh. Give him time and a bucket loads of cash (doubtful) in January. Not sure they will be able to bring in anyone better anyway.
Its just wonderful watching them squirm, General. Those that have enjoyed laughing at us on this board have now deserted. To be fair, they've even deserted their own board
A poll on the Sunderland board supports a return for BS as their manager....lol....nowt like supporting your new man Moyes, fuking cut-throat or what?
He's the dodgiest manager for decades and if they do take him back, or even call for him back they will hit a new low as a club and a fanbase.
Mackem 1-1 Baggies. Here's the thing.....I will take that, even though the mackems did rescue a point near the end. It takes more than draws in this league to stay up, especially when playing average teams like the baggies at home. From all accounts sunderland played badly yesterday.....a defeat would have increased the pressure on Moyes, remember we want him to stay! A draw, and one point, keeps them in the relegation places and also heeds off some of that criticism of the manager. It buys him time.......hopefully, to continue not winning
I reckon the mackems will have roughly 11-15 points by end of December barring any managerial changes. That will leave them with a bit to do. Similar to last season really. Whether they can continue to pull off the houdini act every year is another thing. They get a lot of stick for being the countrys biggest early leavers but they have to endure groundhog day.
There's one thing leaving early, but leaving at half time is taking the mick. Savvy mackems tend to wait until the final whistle so they can miss the traffic!
I can't believe how badly they're doing. I know they were pissed around by the FA over Sam, but Jesus wept they haven't got the worst squad in the league, albeit they are reliant on Defoe. They need this pressure of being behind the run rate to perform, but the problem is the ones who seem to turn it on in these situations are getting older and less effective.
Fact of the week must be from Albert.....despite being seven games into the new season, the last Tyne & Wear team to win a Premier League game was us (against Spurs) Brilliant Albert
