    Well that was good, far more one-sided than I ever envisaged!

    Southampton look comfortable at the back and once West Ham went behind we had space to become more dangerous on the counter attack. Just need to be more clinical, as that was to our cost against Arsenal. But a wonderful victory.

    Did Lanzini, Payet etc. 'not turn up' or did Southampton do a job on them?!

    It's starting to become a very good trait of Puel's, second half performances. The first 5 - 10 mins of the second half against Swansea we were on fire (including the wrongly offside goal). He just needs to stop ever having Austin on the wing, and get the players practicing their finishing more.

    Fantastic win! People may say that we were playing a poor team again, but for me, we have to take all the credit. Controlled the game fantastically. Biggest criticism is that it could of and maybe should have been more than 3. Virgil is very quickly becoming my favourite saints player since the promotion years. He is immense!

    Sorry, but Romeu has to be MotM after that display. Booked so early, looking a bit ropey, then enforced himself on the game. He was superb. Bertrand, Virgil and, for the first time this season, Fonte were all excellent. That first half was dross. We're not a very good team to watch when things are level. This is a formation built for the lead. When we take it, we suddenly have the space the system needs and we look fantastic.

    Oh, and the ref was excellent. He saw that Payet was falling over, holding bits that weren't remotely touch and gave him short shrift. Last year, the same antics helped see Wanyama sent off. This year, he got booked himself. Brilliant.

    There's a case for Bertie, VVD, Romeu or Redmond to be MOTM. Pierre not far off second half either.

    The one person I didn't think was MOTM was Charlie (though he wasn't bad by any stretch). But then, Sky.
