Whether he speaks out in public or not doesn't really matter when it comes to team morale. If he's unhappy then he'll have an impact regardless. Speaking out publicly just tells everyone else. And for all we know, he could have already spoken to the manager, chairman, owner, etc. He might not have done too, of course.
It is detrimental to have a player and manager at odds, I agree. Do you not think he has confronted the manager? Did the manager speak to the press first before the player took to social media? Is it only detrimental to the team if it's out in the open but not if only the other players and people at the club know about it?
You're still missing the point. If he wasn't injured (as he claims), the club spoke inappropriately first.
Mama is as good as gone.. No loan option for him, come Jan, he'll be sold to anyone offering the other side of 10m If Gomez is fit by then, then I don't see us buying a 4th choice CB.. also, and this'll get Jimmy excited, Klopp has been complementing Ilori's attitude, so he's an "option" too.. think we'll save our pennies and go for a CB, if one is needed in the Summer Window. News on twatter is that, if Dahoud continues to stall on a new deal, we'll tempt Gladbach with a 20m+ offer, he's a player that Klopp wants. Can't see us doing any other business in Jan.
Klopp complimented Flanno and Lucas on their attitudes too. One is on loan and the other read told he could leave in the summer. I don't think Ilori is good enough. We know Klopp is ruthless. That's not a good combination for the Portuguese lad.
We appear to be together, have a good team spirit, don't think Klopp will let any loose cannon effect that.. Obviously we won't know the truth but as good as Mama is, he's an accident waiting to happen and has had discipline issues at PSG and here, anyone remember him storming out of the ground when not picked to play against Everton? He does come across as someone that plays for himself 70% and the team 30%.. that attitude just doesn't work with Klopp
Me neither but the right attitude goes a fair way and also helps in not pissing of Heir Klopp! If not in Jan, the lad will be sold come summer window. Whatever portion of Mama's bid was standing is well and truly on fire now!
Ok. As I said, I'm out of this one. I've made my point and I stand by it but there's only so many ways to say the same thing.
Any player who has been dropped will feel hard done to because they all have the ego to believe they should be playing. At first, it was his attitude, then it was his fitness, now who knows but Klopp still doesn't fancy him and Sakho still thinks he should be in the side. The fact that he's not even on the bench to gain minutes and fitness like Can has been (who looks seriously lacking right now!) speaks volumes. Whatever Sakho feels, he's being a bit of a moron here. Klopp saying that he's lacking fitness is far better than saying he's not good enough or that his personality is disruptive. Protects the player's reputation and, more importantly for us, protects his value. Like the guy, one of the few who showed heart in recent seasons, but he'll be off more than likely and I back Klopp to move forward. Matip and Klavan are inspired pickups so far!
If we compare Klavan and matip to luiz and cahill yesterday... wow. The understanding already between the two we have is outstanding. Matip sweeping up behind klavan yesterday mafe things look so simple. I kbow arsenal are good but cahill and luiz were both going for the same guy and were all over the shop. Klopps done his business well and most importantly in training they look well drilled
On sakho.... basically im sorry guys but assuming theres much truth in his outburst is the first mistake. The fact is sturridge was in this place last december and instagrammed he was fit on boxing day or something. He wasnt seen nor nade a single online comnent for over a month. Nobody knows how often this guy has been training or if hes able to train normally let alone whether his claims of fitness hold water. Klopps comments were clear. The asshole deliberately posted on match day. Thats unforgivable. Second it is not positive.. and final nail in coffin... its not christmas yet ino alludes to transfer window. He is out. Period. Lucas will play in his place and i'd not be shocked if hes sent to train with u23s from now on. Matip already is 10 times the player in terms of every part of the game... if that dumoured bid for dahoud comes true in january and sakho pays for it.. id be delighted.
Not sure we'd get the 25M(plus?) we'd need for any successful Dahoud bid but Mama's sale will go a fair bit towards it.
I will bet you we do and i think dahouds situation will crystalise by then... i think he will be a bargain price.
Given he may be in his final year (or two) of his contract, we should get him cheap, but with the rumoured interest in him from Juve and Man City, if true.. that could bump up the price.. City can out spend us + have the Pep factor.. Juve can give him CL footy.. Klopp will need to sell him our "vision" for him to come here.. Must admit, given the fact that Mama's still got a fair few years on the contract and, when he's not acting the clown, he's still a half decent defender, French International and given the amount of money we've been able to get out of most clubs this summer for our dead wood, I think you may be right, we may be able 15m+ for him..
I don't think it would be too hard to sell the vision of klopp getting him to play for us. Biggest hurdle will be wages if he gets better offers as we won't pay it sadly. I do hope the owners revise the wages policy but with stadium expansion talk on going doubtful sadly.
We'll see... doesn't give the impression he's after the money.. He could have pushed for a move this season but he stayed to play on an old contract, so, that bodes well.. If we're up near the top of the league come Jan, then who knows. He's also gotta consider, with the CM options at City, is he going to get a game, we've a decent stock of CMs too but he may have more chance of getting a game in our Midfield than Citys (and Juve's)
His timing is so strange... its almost like Man U won yesterday after a series of losses. But thats just wild speculation and conspiracy theories I do sometimes wonder if Man U and Everton have n606 boards.
Yeah 15mil wouldn't get you a championship player. Anyone could bid. I wouldnt be shocked if psg bid tbh.
I actually made my first post's of the week on Friday, nothing strange about the timing as it coincided with me retuning home after 5 days in Whinfell Forest
