I read the story of the guy. Forsenic experts said he did it, all the evidence went against him until they realised years later there was evidence backiking up his case

Hate to break up the lovefest, but you're both wrong. In the US at least this has been proven fallacious.

There not going to anyway, so it's pointless. Maybe instead of pussy footing about crap there never going to do, they should instead be dealing with the serious issues, like the economy, jobs, unemployment, bankers, tax evasion/tax avoidance, crime, but then again spineless "leaders" and weak governments don't deal with serious issues<ok>

I'd be fascinated to see the figures for an execution then.

Keeping someone like Peter Sutcliffe in jail forever is cheaper than injecting him with poison?

    Honestly can't see it myself.

There is a killer in a Scots jail just now who murdered and chopped up the body of an innocent young man. His Name is William Beggs. So far since his conviction he has apparently received £3m worth of legal aid, most of it spent on frivolous appeals. He is guilty as sin.

£3m in 10 years on legal fees.

How is that cheaper than killing this ****?

Why? If somebody is sentenced to death, they will appeal. And that appeal is almost certain to take longer, and to be more expensive than an appeal against time in prison; it's a much more serious punishment.

And criminals sentenced to life in prison don't lodge appeals against their convictions? <doh>
