I'm not a fan of zonal either, never have been. Too often it leaves players free to run in and get some momentum to attack the ball.

I prefer a combination of the two. Cover the posts and danger zones but also mark their two or three best headerers.

Guillet has played the game and been a decent manager, he knows a little bit :emoticon-0100-smile

Zonal marking is ****, if a team has a corner/free kick all they have to do is instruct players to attack/overload what they perceive as the weakest zone and the defence is ****ed.

I agree. There are some crucial areas where you have to have someone posted, but you really can't let a big, strong CF or CB get up a head of steam to attack the ball.

Always worth remembering that it's easier to perform a defending header (any contact will do) than a attacking header (got to be a good contact).

Didn't claim that you have, but you did attempt to defend a bollox BBC article that failed to justify the business sense for buying Pogba, although to be fair you were pissed/stoned at the time.

Poor Diego has obviously made himself go blind ****ing on about Utd's win and how pogbas goal proves that buying him was better business than buying Law, Robson et al. :emoticon-0100-smile

Don't need to defend it, facts is facts. Just pointing out that they were quoting Jose who actually said...
"I think there are clubs who paid £20m, £30m, £40m and that is a bigger deal than what Man United have paid for Paul.
Because you make a relation between the club’s revenue and the money"
The BBC ran with this and checked if true, it turned out it was <ok>

Yet teams concede from corners/free kicks all the time with man marking so does that make man marking **** as well?
If a team concede a corner or free kick all they have to do is put a block on and allow a forward to get free and they have a free header and defence is ****ed.

Nope, the point of the story was to show if Jose was right or wrong, turns out he was right.
If you have issue with the figures quoted, fair enough, prove them wrong.
If you say Pogba wasn't worth the money, I agree with you (so far).
If you are upset because the BBC decided to take Jose up on this and prove him right or wrong, tough tit, **** happens.

So the headline saying "why $89m paul pogba deal is a bargain" wasn't trying to argue that the figures show he was a bargain then?

They proved fook all in that article because they cherry picked the figures they wanted to back up an illogical argument.
