Yeah his arm caught him, but wasn't like it was a deliberate elbow, he just put his arm across him like people do all game when getting infront of him.

I rewind the Studge penalty a couple of times. Got tbh and say, I couldn't see contact.

However, as I airways say in three situations, the defender shouldn't present the referee with a decision to make.

 

Did studge have to go down? Prob not but it was still a foul and pen. Poor Diego has obviously made himself go blind ****ing on about Utd's win and how pogbas goal proves that buying him was better business than buying Law, Robson et al.

 

He didn't need to go down but Studge also has a reputation for it too

 

So MOTD, Guillet was going crazy at the zonal marking leading to goals for Palace and WBA this week... "marking zonal you can't get a jump in against a man making a run" and how much he hates it etc etc...

Yet didn't really make much of the fact that Leicester who were man marking from their corners conceded 3 times.. twice when player wrestled free of defender so had a free header, and once when they all switched off and Mata ran into space.. which if they were marking zonally, would have had a man in that area protecting the front post.

Both have pros and cons, just annoys me when pundits make a massive thing of zonal marking being the problem when a team concede, yet you seem teams concede every week from man marking and it's never the system that's to blame and never get people saying "if he was zonal marking then wouldn't have lost him and had a free header".

 

It was a foul but the problem is if you don't fall most refs won't give the pen.
