Is there anyone else on here who'd sack Guidolin tonight? Nail your colours to the mast if you feel that way!
I admire your confidence in him. Well, despite press comments & the reactions of certain players (Taylor & Ki), the team definitely battled (for him) today. Nevertheless, I believe his innate negativity could be the undoing of us
We have 4 games in October - Liverpool, Arsenal, Watford & Stoke. We need at least 4pts from those games, any less then we will have a new Manager by the time we host United.
I'm surprised nobody took a chance on Michael Appleton this summer. Oxford reminded me of us under RM the way they played against us last Jan in the cup.
Any manager would have a job getting 4 points off that lot, although Guidolin had 10 off them last season.
Wasn't Guido in the Directors' Box against Watford - he was appointed that day, but Curt was in charge? Watford at home must be a game that we have to target for a win. Similarly, we must "expect" at least a draw at Stoke? How many points are we down so far on the corresponding fixtures from last season?
Based on; Burnley - Bournemouth Hull - Norwich Middlesbrough - Watford Burnley +3pts Hull -3pts Leicester 0pts Chelsea -2pts Southampton 0pts Man City -2pts -4pts Difficult to say because of promoted teams. I based my opinion on last seasons promoted teams.
So if we use your 4pts worse off to date, then securing only 4pts in October (compared to the 10pts earned in the corresponding fixtures last season) would leave us 10pts down on last season. So matching last season's results for the rest of the season would see us finish on 37pts - squeaky bum time methinks
.... and Liverpool played a weakened side against us because they were due to play Sevilla in the Europa League....
