I bet he planned to get elmo sent off, just so you could be a ****, now you bore me so **** off grandpa
Leading up to the sending off we was abysmal and after that the inevitable happened. I wouldn't mind as much if we lost a player due to him putting his foot in against these sides. The players expect to lose and we do. And the system didn't work Hudds, Mason and Clucus had no outlay and was given no support from Diamonde, Herandez and Snodgrass. Right side of our defence was completely over run. Elmo is no right back and Livermore is not a natural centre half so I won't over criticise. I expect Phelan to make tactical changes for next week. But Chelsea will be wounded after today so I do fear the worst.
i should know better than to reply to your ignorant twattery, but i will. we've played most of the last two games with 10 players against far more expensive teams that would have been overwhelming favourites to beat us even if we had 11 players. you're the muppet, you stupid muppet.
Went to Ferriby today and watched them, so have not seen the game. Just need to put this and the Arsenal game behind us, if we can get a win against Chelsea next week, which is not out of the question, then 3 points for the last 3 games is OK if we had drawn them all and got 3 points we would be over the moon. Onwards and upwards.
I'm always of that thought! or just get the f'king Chelsea game out the way & start our season again?
How are they doing JEA... I saw Southport scored in injury time at the end of the first half. They've just dropped into the bottom 4 again.. !!
not great, we were being overrun. we'd finally done some passing and got into the liverpool half with a patient build up. there's no shame in losing to a better team.
They had more than enough chances to win it, two evenly matched sides, but switched off in injury time at the end of the first half to give away the goal.
It was always going to be tough, and to go down to 10 men in both the Arsenal and Liverpool game, made the task even harder. Just hope they don't lose confidence from these losses, but that is when MP earns his corn.
My observations. Poor team selection from the off. Adama D and Hudds should not have started. Harry should have started at CB and Jake CM with Henrikson starting also. I mean who gets one assist and scores the winner on debut and gets dropped? Meyer was the wrong choice to come on after the sending off and why play Abel as a lone target man feeding off scraps when Mbokani does that role a lot better. Their centre half, Ragnar somebody or other, won't have an easier afternoon than today. Clucas was schooled by Henderson and is a country mile from being England standard, he looked out of his depth at times. All the above is just my opinion and it's also my opinion that we could have started any combination of players today and we'd still have been dicked. Liverpool were excellent, especially in the first half. They would tear just about any team apart playing like that, their movement off the ball and the runs they made around the box were outstanding . Some Liverpool fan on the radio said that's the best they've played all season and Klopp pretty much said the same in his interview. Sometimes you just have to put your hands up and admit the better team won.
I thought there was a few selection mistakes made today, Huddlestone because we knew they would be quick and have good movement, Diomande because last couple of games he has given the ball away to easy and if we are only going to play one forward then I would have gone with Mbokani because Hernandez doesn't hold the ball up well enough, having said that I would have brought Mason in like he did yet he loses the man he is marking twice for two of their goals. One other problem we have is that if a potential top six side plays at the top of their game then no matter what team we put out we will struggle, it doesn't help when we don't play well but today did show the difference in class, lets not forget we are a newly promoted team who for this league haven't spent much, don't have a full time manager and have ownership problems, Going forward I would like to see Mbokani and Hernandez play has a partnership next week , yes Chelsea are good but they have let a few goals in lately so why not have a go, after that we have a number of games against teams who should be bottom half which will define our season, we have proved we can compete having got results against Swansea, Leicester and Burnley so lest hope we do so again in many of these games which wont be easy but at least we have a chance. One thing is for certain we will have to perform better than we did today.
