Agree with that looking like the hendo we had before his injury set back, still think we could have a better captain I reckon matip will take it next year
Matip also looking a class act in every game he's appeared in. Hope he stays fit - potential captain material right there. Good on the ball, very composed and adds a lot of height to the back.. Willing to step out with the ball. Absolute steal on a free.

just a very quick note: after 5 games our start in terms of points equals 2013/14. this season after 6 games we have 16 goals scored and 9 conceded back then after 6 games we had scored 14 goals and 7 conceded. in 2014/15 we had scored 13 but conceded 15 and only had 7 points in 2015.16 scored only 6 and conceded 10 had 8 points. so.... basically the defence aint great, not much better than any other year but up front its the best we've been in years and years.

Good point.............we have to see our start as a solid one, some (or alot) of our football is very good indeed. Very early still, but encouraging signs all over the pitch

Last year for example west ham were very good. Now all these are rogers seasons... that isn't much to write home about. The point i made was the defense isn't great but we are scoring lost of goals and have taken our highest points after 6 games since we finished second. Your point about the teams we've played does add to this. 2013/14 the only decent team we played in that first 6 was Utdand we know they ended 7th that year.
My hope and prayer is that our result against Burnley is just a fluke. After playing Manchester United ,Manchester city if we are three or two points behind the league leaders we have a real chance this season.
Wouldn't get too carried away. Hopefully we are in the mix for top 4 at least. I still think city are gonna storm the league

Swansea managed to disrupt City's usual fluency yesterday, it'll be interesting to see how we do against them
