A bit further, about two and a half. Had I been born 40 years or so later, I've no doubt I'd be nicknamed Homer - our ancestral seat is in the village of Springfield, which is about a mile & a half north of Gretna. Not far from the smithy in Gretna Green. I was born next door to The Queens Head pub, which may explain a lot... My dad had more claim to being English - he was born in a cottage just outside Canonbie, right on the border. He always used to tell us that he slept in Scotland and had his meals in England.
When Man Utd win it is because they play well (not because the other team play badly). When Man Utd lose it is because they play badly (not because the other team play well). I hope everyone is clear about that.
Or.... When ManUre win it's because The Special One is an extraordinary coach and his tactics were spot on. When they lose, the match officials missed all the penalty and red card incidents and cost them the game...
Norwich looking good I feel. Hammering for Chelsea at the Arsenal..they will be the "club in crisis" this week.

Bit of a PR mess for the FA and Big Sam? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...ation-england-manager-sam-allardyce-for-sale/ Some might agree with his general comments though!
I remember when canned "Come on You Horns" was played through the pa at a Watford home match. Petchy, that well known time share magnate and West Ham fan was in charge.... embarrassing indeed.
