Ah, I just saw the aftermath then. I saw one bloke covered in blood who'd clearly been hit, he looked a bit concussed to say the least as he was being questioned by a few coppers, and I saw one kid that had been rounded up. I was on the 508 heading past. As for the coppers, I'd guess the fear of the possibility of getting caught and mercilessly restrained is what causes people to be less inclined to start fights. I personally find the mounted units **** scary.
Anyway, moving on from the unlikely event of there being any real trouble on Saturday, how about some clips from Southampton-Leeds clashes over the years? And how could we forget this one?
its all the little boys who have grown up watching "the firm, "green street" and "the football factory" wearing casual clothes and thinking theyre hard. twats.
Am i just stupid? Ive gone on the leeds os quite abit and they talk about there attack being amazing. It doesnt look as good as they say? Snodgrass and gradel fair enough. But i dont find players like Lloyd Sam and Billie Painter a threat really. Theres only two of your attackers id be worried about Snodgrass and gradel. Lloyd Sam was a league 1 player not to long ago with loan spells at teams like southend?? Also Billie Paynter has been playing for swindon for the last couple of years last time i checked they went down?? For you leeds Paynter has got 1 goal in 22 appearnces?? As for Sam 2 in 18. So i think Your four main attackers compared to our Lallana, Chamberlain,Lambert and connolly is worse.
Paynter is gash mate. We have Somma & Becchio out but Gradel Howson Snoddy Sam Nunez all capable of scoring & Mccormack is proven at this level although didnt really get a good look in last season. Sam is a very tricky player & scored against Newcastle last week, but he wont start as Gradel is nailed on too
Paynter's played 90 minutes once and he scored and played well in that game. Suffered from being unfit due to having no pre-season last year. Like bucks says, Lloyd Sam is actually a very dangerous winger who's only been kept out by the best wingers in the league in Snodgrass and Gradel.
So we are kinda lucky cuz to off your key attackers(becchio and somma) are out so that only leaves you with snodgrass and gradel so your attack wont be as strong as usaul?
The attack will most probably look like this: McCormack Gradel - Howson - Snodgrass It will still do some damage without Becchio (and Somma is only a supersub anyway); we score most of our goals from midfield.
Oh i thought i read somewhere paynter was starting on the facebook championship banter page your lot are givin it the big 3-0 and 4-0 dont think it will be that easy i think it will be close like a 2-1to us ps what does M.O.T mean
Only Becchio's really missing from that attack. But that still includes a striker who has been top scorer in this division, an 18 goals a season winger, and 2 of the best players in the division (Snodgrass IMO is the best player outside the PL, would be in the CL by now if he had Gradel's pace and arguably were he less loyal to us). Becchio may have been our top scorer last season, but that AM 3 scored 36 goals between them. Lloyd Sam has become a very good player, Gradel only got into the side in the first place because Sam got injured. Somma isn't anywhere near as big a miss as Becchio because he's only ever been used (and effective) in a super-sub role. McCormack is a very technically gifted player, he was struggling for confidence in pre-season but has shown he is capable of match winning performances.
BBC website backing up the main force behind our attack: Key Man: Men in this case: Robert Snodgrass and Max Gradel. If these wingers fire then no club in the Championship can stop them from either scoring or creating. If Snodgrass and Gradel perform, so do Leeds United.
