The last of the first series of the Goon Show was broadcast on 20th September 1951, but had the title Crazy People. The second series then had the title Goon Show.

Bedazzled and pedant - two words not readily associated with each other.

    What links them?

I'll take a guess that both are first recorded in Shakespeare plays.

OK - I'll give it to you...

Shakespeare has been credited with having introduced around 1700 words into the English language through his plays. These two got their first written mention in 'Taming of the Shrew'.

    Over to you.
