    The point is in the last 10 games of the season you could be playing Vs teams who aren't battling for anything and have basically checked out for the season while your rivals could be playing teams who have relegation or promotion to play for so are more competitive and desperate for the points.

    The playoffs reduce the amount of teams playing for nothing massively therefore making the league a little more competitive and the fixtures fairer.

    Yup. Obviously biased for me last year, but said it before that as well.

    I dont think tobes idea of having play off for 3-6 with winner and runner up getting cl is fair. It might add interest which is what play offs do. They try and make it so you don't get 3 weeks of dead rubbers at the end of the seaso, but you'd be posse did finished 3rd, normally get Cl, finish 20 points above team in 6th and lose over 2 legs in a play off and get demoted to EL

    It is. It's just extra fair for teams who finish 6th in the Championship. <whistle>

    Here's a radical thought - how about the bottom three get relegated and the top three get promoted?

    It's purely a money-grabbing exercise - knowing the rules beforehand doesn't make them fair.
