Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is reported to have been offered to Sunderland. But the Black Cats are not thought to be interested in signing free agent Adebayor, who is currently without a club after a deal to Lyon broke down. Sunderland are short of attacking options, with David Moyes relying on Jermain Defoe to lead the line for the club this season. Sounds like a moot point if we're not interested but for what it's worth I would have taken him, I don't rate him but it might have helped calm the fever dreams I have every night about Defoe getting injured.
I'd take him till the end of the season, very talented but bit of a clown. If he's enjoying himself on the pitch then he'll do well wherever he ends up.
If he got his head down and grafted he'd be a good addition. He's got more natural talent in his pubes than Victor Anichebe has in his whole body. Free agent. Short term contract why not? Same goes for Berbatov and Miroslav Klose
Adebayor, on his day, is a world class player. Adebayor, 98% of the time is as much use a Jozy was for us as a goalscorer
Pay per game is the only offer they would be get from me, as with Balotelli, both players are in the top bracket when they feel like it, when they don't. they are disruptive and expensive liabilities, we could well do without even though we are desperately short up front. The team that is.
There are plenty of world class players out there who only turn it on when they can be arsed. Not interested the rest of the time. Play a blinder one game in ten? Sod that. Don`t want them.
Been **** for years. Disruptive too. Odds on to be a ****e signing for anyone at this level. Even in our situation I wouldn't give him a sniff.
