Fantastic innings by Bresnan (and support from Sidearse) keeping Yorkshire in with a title chance, could be an exciting day tomorrow
5 for 2 now Middlesex.... come on Yorkshire... And the ECB wouldn't even allow Barstow to play... !!! Sorry Waggy my live score is updating slowly..
If you want to keep up to date with the chatter etc - http://liveblog.espncricinfo.com/Event/Specsavers_County_Championship_Thursday_September_22_2016
If Yorkshire don't win I hope it's a draw because then little Somerset win the championship (I think).
Root not allowed to play either whereas Stokes is playing for Durham, though I get Stokes has been injured and needs game time. Strauss' actions smacked of desperation by trying to let Middlesex win it, though they've ****ed it up themselves by not pushing for an achievable win in their last game against the Lankies and scoring at just over 2 an over in their 2nd innings. The Lords pitch is as flat as they come so unless it ends in a 20/20 run chase after tea, I think Somerset will be winning it. If it's not us then happy for the title to go to Somerset, would love to see the look on Strauss' face the corrupt nobber.
Frustrating first hour, would have at least hoped Middlesex would have started having a go but seem content to plod along. Lancs could still go down as well, not expecting to get much work done this afternoon...
i dont think there is any point in watching until around 4pm when Yorkshire suddenly have 20 overs to chase 200.
Finn allowed to play as well ! What angers me is Rashids commitment to Yorks ! Why wouldn't you want to play in a title decider ?????
Rashid did make a statement saying he had a close family member in hospital and did say to the club he will play if asked but mentally he's not at the races apparently. The batsmen are now bowling so its game on...
declaration - yorkshire need 240 off 40. more generous than i expected, but middlesex do need time to get 10 wickets. or maybe a few less than 40 overs with the change over.
