Both City and you have had 'relatively' easy starts to the season. City have capitalised; you haven't. A lot of united supporters I've spoken to never even wanted him.
It was fairly well documented I would have preferred Pep, and him even being City manager doesn't change that. I like the man and I like the way he gets his teams playing. He's class, not sure Mourinho is to be honest. That said, I accepted Mourinho willingly and he was definitely a close second choice so am still happy enough with him being manager. These rumblings though, they need to stop. Quickly, before they get out of hand and it all ends in tears. We know what he's like, it's all very well thinking it'll be alright but if he loses his head in the near future that's ****ing it.
I've been injured again of late, Rufflad, so have been missing out on a lot of the debate around him. I've honestly never liked the way he's come across and that was when he had nothing to do with you lot. However, from what I have seen of him, he doesn't seem to be the same man he was. You really shouldn't slag your own off in front of a national audience. It's the same as a retail manager never bollocking a staff member in front of customers. What do you make of Klopp?
It's been about Rooney mainly but the attention is swinging round to Mourinho now. He picks the team and formation so understandably. What he said about Shaw was not on really, not so soon into a season. He should keep player criticism in house, even if it is justified. Doing that does not bode well. I like Klopp, clearly a very good manager. That ship sailed when we went for van Gaal instead though.
I actually liked him way before he came here, mainly due to his obvious passion. He's also got a great sense of fun. Not a characteristics kraut trait
Every German I've ever met has had a decent sense of humour as it goes. Goes against the cliche. Not that I've met loads of course. I'm a bit of a Krautophile. They can't dress though.
true. City are known for great starts & Manu known for slow starts. Will see what these guys say when Jose eventually gets his title, end of season.
Ah I'm not sure about that at all. I think the media have set their agenda from Mourinho's final season at Chelsea. The minute we went on a bad run, everything was going to be twisted. He's done very little different from any other manager, but it's good fun to pick on Mourinho. How soon into his new job was Klopp picking out players for criticism? Sturridge and Benteke being two prime examples. He even blamed the fans for ****s sake Imagine if Mourinho had come out with that bollox. But while those things were reported at the time they weren't sensationalised the way any comment Mourinho might come out with. I think it's safe to say that whatever Mourinho says after a poor result will be blown out of all proportions. He (and we) will have to deal with it. You could say he's put himself in that position, but I also think it comes with the job of managing Manchester United. And certainly with a heavily infiltrated ex-liverpool footy press.
We were going to win the league 3 games ago, between up and City. Now everyone going on like we are going to finish in relegation, I suppose everyone was waiting for the opportunity to see us fail haha...... Few wins in a row now it would have all been forgotten, opposition fans and the media are a funny bunch
I knew that Mour would get back at his critics should United win. Not that difficult a task you would argue but he's been under pressure since that loss to City. He is calling those critics a bunch of "Einsteins". Against Feyenoord a draw would have been a fair result (the guy was clearly offside before he got the ball and crossed) but this is football. Against City, with a bit of luck (and objectivity from the ref) we could have played against 10 men and got a pen. Against Watford, the guy could/should have been sent off for an awful tackle and we would have played against 10 men. But we all know that English refs are cowards, working out the best decisions which will put them under less pressure. So it is 3 defeats in a row it is but could/should have been 3 draws. This is just to put the performance in perspective rather than to wallow in self pity thinking we should be top of the league! Against Leicester at home, in all honesty champions or not this is a match that we should really win. And JM knows that. Should we fail to win, the headlines will be back.
If we win the next three games, which we should and are all at home, then the whole story is different going into the Liverpool game. Big game on Saturday obviously and by far the most difficult of the three. If we win that then we really should win the other two.
The EPL matches are notoriously difficult to predict. I remember an RS buffoon (we all know who he is!) constantly predicting that they would finish ahead of us based on the number of matches against so called difficult and easy teams. Burnley and Watford should have been easy matches... Having said that we really should win our matches against any team at OT.
Mourinho was on a two-man shortlist for the Liverpool job in 2004 and was "desperate" to move to Anfield, according to former Reds midfielder Danny Murphy. (Talksport) Ouch! Eh, lads?
Yep, not only was Danny a player he was obviously an executive member of the club board and as such would have been privy to the closely-guarded commercial workings of the club. I'm surprised he has been able to keep this hot potato under his hat for 12 years.
Danny was an important player for them, back then, and would have been a close confidante of that fat Go Compare manager of theirs.
